As the title says this is a canonical roleplay. That means you must stay within the realm of the Ace Attorney world and keep things realistically in tune with the progression of the actual game. The RP is taking place after the events of T&T and before the incident mentioned in Apollo Justice.

[2] No Godmoding.
[3] To join pm application. You will receive a response if you are accepted. If you are not accepted you will receive a reply detailing why and are free to apply again.
[5] If you do not get a response promptly it is likely because I'm busy.
[6] Quick OOC comments are allowed if they are labeled properly. I.E. [OOC: Blah]
[7] If you wish to leave the RP for whatever reason send me a pm saying so or make an in character good-bye post.
[8] Players who do not post in the RP or PM me an alert for an extended leave will be given an MIA status.
[9] Characters with an MIA status will be left behind in the RP.
[10] Characters with an MIA status for one month will be removed from the roster and the player will have to reapply.
[11] Canon characters with an MIA status are at risk of being played by other people until the original player returns or they are removed after one month of inactivity.
[12] Original characters are allowed in small doses and will not become main cast. They will simply provide fodder for cases and events of the like. It is not suggested that you play an OC as your main.
[13] On the flight creations of OC characters is allowed so long as a profile is provided within three days of the character's creation.

Name: Monika von Karma
Job: Prosecutor (also does dog shows)
Appearance: Shoulder-length, platinum hair, curly; fairly short; wears a white buttoned top with sleeves rolled up to the elbow, a dark green vest, dark boot-cut jeans, and high-heel black boots.
Personality: Monika is a genius and a child prodigy. She's really intolerant of "stupid people." She's usually really curious and hungry for knowledge. Monika rarely loses her temper unless it has to do with her current case... or her trusty dog, Phoenix.
History: Franziska's niece, and granddaughter of Manfred von Karma. She really admires her aunt, and has always tried to follow in her footsteps, which explains why she's a prosecutor now.
Other: Monika is in her mid-late teens. Phoenix, her dog, is a pure-bred golden retriever. She always has him by her side, as a police dog who tracks down clues, a loyal companion, and a stage performer.
Favorite Hobby: Dog shows, which she hasn't won yet, but gets close every time. She really hopes to win this year.

It had been four days since he had gotten Iris a full acquittal for murder.

Phoenix Wright had just finished getting dressed in a t-shirt and some blue jeans; he hadn't had a case since then, so he had spent those four days making sure Maya was ready to take over Kurain Village as the Master, as well as having everyone come with him to visit Iris at the Detention Center.

He went out of his apartment and ran to the station. He was going to check up on Maya again, and then go visit Iris. Maybe be able to get a case sooner or later.

As he reached the station, he got his ticket and got on board, heading for Kurain Village. I'm sure, knowing Maya, she's having a grand time, thought Phoenix as the train set off towards its destination.

"Mystic Maya." Said one of the lesser mystics rather sheepishly. "I'm not certain that this is really appropriate."
"It's valentines day tomorrow!" Maya still hadn't quite gotten used to being spoken to with so much respect, so she kept responding with a warm familiarity that kept catching the women used to Mystic Morgan's reign off guard. "We need more red hearts!" She declared as she strung up another line to the large doors in the main hall. There was a small dent in them now that Maya refused to have fixed because it was where Nick had kicked the doors open to save someone's life. He was sort of like a superhero that way.

"Hey, Mystic Maya! I brought a surprise!" Pearl rushed over to Maya, triumphantly showing her a necklace with large heart-shaped beads. "It took me a while to make, but I did it! It's your Valentine's Day present!" Pearl had just learned about Valentine's Day, but she loved holidays. Especially holidays with Maya, who was now her only family. Well, Nick was family too.

"I love it!" Maya said happily and took it from the girl's hands so she could immediatly put it on. It clacked against her kama on its way further down her chest. "Thanks, Pearly!" She really did mean the enthusiastic laugh that followed. "Hey! Help me cut out more hearts!" She wandered over to the large pile of red and pink construction papers, partly cut up and partly not, and plopped cross legged on the floor. This was likely the 'not appropriate' behavior the woman from before had been pointing out. The woman just sighed and left Maya and Pearl to their business.

The Lunchland Van hit a few bumps and side tracks across the rocky Kurain road. Angel was frustrated, but after all "Customers come first *wink/heart*" was the former Lunchland boss's motto. Angel stopped in front of a bus-stop, parked the car, and got out. She had a few lunches to deliver. Walking up to the door of a rather large mansion, she knocked, holding out some lunches. "This house smells of pomgranate and magnolia, with a hin of old wood blocks. Eguch!"

Pearl sat next to Maya, taking a red piece of paper from the mound. She cut out a sloppy-looking heart, then grabbed another piece of paper. Pearl was never good at arts and crafts, but she was getting better. "Mystic Maya," said Pearl, "Is Mr. Nick coming over for Valentine's Day?"

Maya paused before hanging the string in her hands.
"I'm not sure." She said, but the swish of fabric as she tied the ribbon was louder than her voice. "He said he would come to see us every month, but...well it's Nick. So of course he'll be here." She said brightly. It was hard to ignore the impending feeling of change that welled in her chest each passing day. She wished she could be surprised when the time came that she would wait for Nick at the bus stop and he wouldn't be there. Everything about him said that it would never happen, but she was a mystic, after all, and a lot of what she did came from trusting your natural instinct to connect with someone outside of your world. When that instinct told you clearly that one day a person you loved would never come back, it was hard to just ignore it and move on with you day. "Pass me more ribbons, would you Pearly?"

Pearl nodded. happily handing her a long string of ribbon. "I forgot, of course he'll be here..." Pearl's hands came to her face. "...Since you're his... special someone..." She couldn't help but giggle.

Maya laughed a little at that. Pearly had always been a romantic. Even when she was too young to understand what it was her favorite stories were the ones where the prince and princess came together in the end. Maya didn't have the heart to tell her that she and Nick would likely never be like her prince and princess. Nick was in love with another woman and even though she knew that his feelings towards her were just as strong they were never actually romantic. At first Maya had been the sister of his mentor, a little girl who needed his help just like most of the other people that he met. It was his attachment to Mia that didn't tell her to go home when she decided to stay and help him. After a while she changed from Mia's sister to his. It wasn't hard at all for Nick to form strong feelings for another person, but romance was something he tended to shy away from. It was over the past few months that she finally learned why that was as she watched old wounds get broken open by things beyond her weak realm of control. This had been her driving force to return to the village to train. Had she never left she would have been able to fight Dahlia on her own. Her mother might even still be alive. She wouldn't trade her experiances with Nick for anything, but if she ever wanted to be useful to him or anyone she had to become stronger.

Pearl was confused. Normally, Maya would get embarrassed and yell at her for saying that, but then, that was usually when Mr. Nick was around. Pearl cut out some more hearts, thinking about Maya and Nick. She wondered if he knew how Maya felt about him, or vice-versa. Well, it's Valentine's Day, she thought, maybe they'll find out tomorrow.

Phoenix got off the train, beginning to walk down the dirt path towards the village. He figured they must be doing spiritual training, as always. He laughed to himself. I don't recall them ever doing anything for Valentine's Day, anyway... He stopped, however, when he saw Mediums running around as he came into the village. "What the...?" He had never seen anything of the like. Mediums usually walk wherever they're going... Maya's behind this. I just know it, he sweatdropped.

From the corner of her eye, Angel noticed a familiar scent, for it smelled of cardboard boxes and Russian Resturant Fumes. She turned around and noticed fellow Phoenix Wright. She figured she had a lunch for him. She ran to him and hugged him. "You ordered the "I am not gay but I love this lunch" right?" She liked to joke, although maybe that was going even a little too far for her tastes.

His quest for the cheapest Aldi's that had semi-edible foodstuffs had brought the good detective across great distances and to the end of his rope. But it hadn't been for nothing! he pep-talked to himself sitting on the train ride home with a huge paper bag filled with discount Kraft Mac N' Cheese, his five-dollar trophy. And he even got a pretty view on the way home, even if it was for a few hours.
As the train jolted to a halt Dick Gumshoe watched as the doors opened and the passenger got off. Before he could be angry that the train had gone so far out of the way for one person, he was nearly blinded by the familiar shiny gellin' hair attached to the guy's head.
"I get off here," Gumshoe said to the conductor, handing him a tip "Thanks, pal."
He got off the train as it pulled away and waved to Phoenix, who didn't notice and went into a building. The detective followed behind him.
