Goddammit! This guy thinks he's safe. Well, I warned him. There's nothing more I can do, Clive thought as he watched from the trees. He turned to go back to his house, but something was stopping him. Maybe it was his conscience. He sighed and reluctantly followed that man, staying hidden as he moved swiftly and silently.

The man didn't seem to notice him. If he did, he isn't doing anything about it. After awhile, they arrived at a gate. "Halt! Show me your identification and mission log." The man dug up his identification from his pockets, then presented him with a document. The guard looked through the document. "Did you succeed?" The guard asked. "Yes. I held all enemy targets back long enough for them to escape." The guard nodded. "Very well, you may enter. Payment for his mission is $5,000. Not bad for a normal protection job." The guard said, as he opened the gate, letting the man in.

(Eh, I'll let it slide, but only because of what you snuck into)). Once Clive snuck past the gate, he noted that there were a lot of masked people. They looked pretty much like the squad that took Mira away, except they are wearing different clothing. There were plenty of labs and medical supply shops. There were also a lot of weapon shops around. Near the farthest area of Clive's vision, there were plenty of clustered, house-like structures. No one has yet to notice him yet - or did they?

Clive decided it was best to put on the old uniform. He was once a part of this group, and, hopefully, no one would recognize him as he slipped into a hidden area and changed. This was clearly their base, so he changed accordingly. Maybe he'd learn something from these people. The thought of being back into the group made him shake. Dammit. That's all in the past. Quit being such a weak loser, Clive thought.

The kit from before appeared behind Clive. It started sniffing him, trying to identify him. It stopped after awhile. You might you be? It asked Clive. Just as it asked, a group of kids ran by the hidden area, but did not notice anyone within.

Clive remained calm. "Oh, crap. Sorry." He didn't feel threatened at all. He decided to use his name before he changed it. After all, everyone just assumed that person died, and that way he wouldn't be lying. "I am Seth Gerber."

Mira does not know a 'Seth Gerber'. Why do you care so much about the body? It asked, continuing to growl. I am aware of who Mira knew as a friend, a co-worker, and a client. The name 'Seth Gerber' is not one of them. It said, unaware of Clive's past, and it's relevance to the current name in question.

"Are you sure about that?" Clive challenged. He knew Mira was one of the few who knew his real name. Then again, Mira promised he wouldn't tell anyone. "Is it so wrong that I believe in proper burials? That I give a damn about someone else?" He wasn't completely telling the truth, but he definitely wasn't lying. He was fired up, now. However, he didn't see the kit as a challenge. He could beat anything in a one-on-one fight. It was the reinforcements he was a little worried about.

"Yes, I can," Clive said. He pulled out his gun license. It was in the name Seth Gerber and it was valid, but only for another week. "And as for what I'm doing here, it occurred to me that you might need help with training some of these men." Clive remembered the man he fought earlier. He wasn't lying with his wording. He really did think they needed some training.

"Yes, it is from here," Clive said, smiling at the memory. Back then, he needed to use a gun often. He was a weak fighter with the sword and needed to improve. Now, he didn't need a gun at all, but he still kept one with him just in case. Back when he got his license, he wouldn't even consider training anyone, and he would literally train himself for five hours every day.

Whew, that was a close one, Clive thought. He decided he might as well train some people as he looked around. It was better than the alternative. Clive went to the training grounds. He realized a lot has changed. It was much more high-tech with simulations and weapons. However, memories kept flooding back to him. [i]Stop it! All that was a long time ago. Right now, you need to find out what they're doing with Mira's body and make sure you don't get caught along the way. That's all.

"Hey! Who are you?" Some guy said, with a group of other people, wearing similar masks. The similarity represents their rank among the other units. Other then that, different designs and all that. They are also dressed the same, except the guy who asked who Clive was. He was dress in clothing to indicate he is the leader of that little squad. "I see you got that mask, but I haven't seem that mask anywhere around here." He was obviously a new guy. His subordinates are probably just as new.

Especially if you wish to improve skills with or learn tne ways of the sword." Clive didn't know if they wanted to learn, and if they didn't, he didn't want to waste any time with them.

The guys looked at the ID, then talked amongst themselves. "Seth Gerber? His name isn't in the database." One of guys said. "Could he have changed his name sometime after he got his gun permit from us." Another guy suggested. "I heard about some event awhile ago. Could this be the same guy?" The leader asked. "I don't know. There's only one way to find out." A guy said, as the leader turned to face Clive. "Could you come with us?" He asked.

Clive glanced around, assessing the situation. He could easily beat them, but what was the fun in that? They probably wouldn't even be a challenge to him. However, he couldn't say for sure they wouldn't attack him after finding out who he was. Clive remembered how his mistake made it so whoever was a member of this group was supposed to kill him. He interfered with an operation of theirs before, stopping the destruction of his home, but, in doing so, he was now their enemy. However, they might not have all that data on Seth Gerber. "And if I don't?" he asked.

Clive chuckled. That was exactly the kind of response he thought he'd get. He knew if they were just going to "test" their weapons on him, he could easily beat them. Then, he remembered...On the database, they didn't know Clive was really Seth. In fact, it would probably say Seth was dead or MIA. It wouldn't say anything that would give Clive away to the fullest extent. If that was the case, he could tell them the truth about Seth. He went to great lengths to make sure everyone thought Clive and Seth were two completely different people...except Mira. "You would be the ones who would die...However, I might as well go with you to clear all doubt from your mind."

"Very well. Come with us." The leader said, as they walked to a hidden building underground. They took an elevator hidden in the court house, which distorted one's sense of direction, as to prevent one to track this place down. Afterward, the leader took out his ID and scanned it through a machine. A hidden door appeared out of nowhere and the group entered the room. It was a hidden lab. The leader pointed to a table in the distance. "Who is that person over there?" He asked, pointing to Mira's body on the table. It is still open from the autopsy, but it's clear it was Mira.

Clive smiled. He had made mind shields so powerful, nobody could break in. And as for five against one? They wouldn't stand a chance...even if they combined forces. He had taken on whole armies. That was the only reason he was still alive. Five newbies certainly couldn't beat him, especially if he used spirit energy. However, it would be quite troublesome if everybody in the whole place came after him. "Because...everybody thought I was dead."

I was one of the best fighters here." That's right. "I was sent to anilate them. That or they would attack us. Too many people were away on their own missions to help us fight. A few others...a very small group of the best of the best...were sent with me. ...None of them lived. I did. We succeeded, but...I wound up having to pretend I was dead so it wouldn't be true." He hoped he didn't need any more details.

The leader stood upright. "Scanning mission database....." He remained silent for half a minute. "10 deaths reported 5 years ago. Narrowing search......." It took him another half-minute to get the results. "Seth Gerber - KIA. Time of death: Unknown. Killed by: Unknown. Autopsy: N/A." The leader went back to normal. "It all checks out. So what brings you back here?" He asked Clive.

Clive wasn't sure himself. He wanted to know what they were going to do with Mira's body, but part of him wanted to do so much more. Maybe even...rejoin them. He also wanted to know who killed Mira and how he died. And there were many things he still wanted to know. Why did they try to attack his hometown? "I wish...to find the answers I've been asking myself for a long time. I also...want to officially rejoin," Clive replied after thinking for a while. He felt more and more certain of his decision every minute.

He felt bad about leaving without any knowledge of what happened or what they want with Mira's corpse, but he would find out eventually. What was the point in rushing it? ((I think this'll get confusing after a while, so I'll just start calling him Seth from the next post on.))
