Introduction:

Long ago, we fought for control of this world. We faced off against the human race to determine who would dominate this planet. In the end, it was the humans' fear of us that gained them victory. We were captured, one by one, and sentenced to death. What they didn't realize... is that we cannot die so easily.

Nekobuke is a fantasy roleplay about the aftermath of the human race's battle with the Nekobuke, a race of humanlike warriors with great power. Even though the humans believed to have killed all of the Nekobuke, many of them went into hiding. Those who were killed lived on as spirits, who were reborn into a new generation of Nekobuke warriors. This new generation sits in waiting for the perfect chance to strike... Until then, they send out agents, young Nekobuke who have not yet permanently grown their ears and tail, to live amongst the humans and learn more about them. Only a select few humans know about this secret. Everybody else is completely oblivious to the invasion right in front of them.

Character Creation:

In this roleplay, you can either be a human or a Nekobuke. You are allowed to control up to three characters.

-HUMAN-
If you're a human... you're a human. Congratulations. You don't have any special powers, but you have access to lots of modern-day tools and instruments. If you're a human, you can be:
-Normal: A normal human. You're attending school, on the job... whatever. Although you have the least amount of power of any of the other "jobs," you have the most flexible character options and the most opportunity for character growth.
-NB Agent: One of the very FEW humans who knows of the Nekobuke's current existence. Your goal is to find and destroy the Nekobuke in any way possible. There can only be 5 NB Agents in this RP. (1/5 filled so far.)

-NEKOBUKE-
The Nekobuke are a race of humanlike warriors (they've often been describe by historians as "catpeople") bent on destroying the human race and seizing control of Earth. They are incredibly agile and strong, and each can control a certain element. However, because they have been in hiding, their technology is very far behind. Nekobuke are unique in the way that they are reborn after death, retaining their old name and much of their appearance. If you're a Nekobuke, you can be:
-Spy: A young Nekobuke under 17 years old who mostly resembles a human until they transform. You will hide among the humans to gather information about them. Just don't get to attached; on your 17th birthday, you will permanently transform into your true self and lose your ability to hide amongst the humans.
-Adult: A Nekobuke 17 years or older. They cannot retain their human appearance and almost always hide in the Nekobuke village. However, they are very seasoned in battle and magic.
-Spirit: The spirit of a deceased Nekobuke. They are reborn into other Nekobuke after death and are more significant to younger Nekobuke, as they are needed for them to transform, They serve as spiritual guides, as well.
Note that if you play as any kind of Nekobuke, you can choose whether you want to play as the spirit of your past life or have someone else play it.

Rules:

Yeah, this intro couldn't be any longer, huh? Anyway, I just wanna lay down a few rules before we get started:

1. Follow the Court Records roleplaying rules. Type the appropriate amount, use correct grammar, yada yada yada . Y'all know the drill.
2. You cannot randomly realize someone is a Nekobuke. You must be able to have solid evidence. *brick'd for the bad PW reference*
3. Just because Nekobuke are powerful doesn't mean they can destroy a human in one hit. Make it a little tough for them to win if they get into a battle.
4. Humans cannot see the spirits of Nekobuke unless they transform.
5. If you're confused about something, feel free to ask. Not really a rule, but more of a gesture of goodwill.
6. Even though there shouldn't be a problem with this, I must approve all new characters. I'm not very strict, but if something is way off, I'll ask you to change.
7. If I missed anything, let me know. I'm pretty newbish at creating an RP, especially one with so much detail, so please point out any mistakes I've made.

Personality: Sometimes cute, bubbly, and optimistic, and at other times, she is more cynical and pessimistic.
Background: A pigtail-wearing Nekobuke disguised as a high school student. Although none of the other Nekobuke know it, she has an unnatural fondness for humans. Somehow, she houses the spirits of twins, so her true Nekobuke name is unknown. This also causes her personality to fluctuate from Lisi to Dindi's.

Personalities: Lisi, being of the light element, is the more joyful of the two. She is always looking to the bright side and doesn't like to fight as much. Dindi, being dark, has a more pessimistic and cynical personality. She hates humans with a passion and wants nothing more than to defeat them in battle.
Backgrounds: The spirits of Melissa Dawle. Unlike normal Nekobuke, they both share her body for unknown reasons. They often argue over who Melissa transforms into and are unsure of what will happen to them once Melissa turns 17.

Personality: In public, he keeps his personality under wraps, but during one-on-one conversations, he relaxes a bit.
Background: He became seventeen when the first spies were sent out. He went out for one year and when it was time to return, he initially refused. However, it became hard for him to hide his true form after his tail started coming out form under his priest's robes. He went back to the Village, and was made a Guardian. He helps out spies that have to come home all he can.
Picture/Description: He had a centaur-like body, which is strange enough for a Nekobuke, but replace the hooves with powerful claws. He wields an axe infused with fire to double up with his Earth command.

Personality: She's calm and serene, but has a fiery temper. She off-balances Trick near-perfectly, and she made a decision to stay with him after he warped. In human terms, she's Trick's split-personality now.
Background: She went in the original war and soon became a Spirit. She waited for long to find someone who was compatible with her in the best kind of way. Trick was her last resort - she couldn't find any more Nekobukes without spirits, and she was going to fade away without bonding with a living Nekobuke. Seemed she was in luck. She found it troublesome to get him to go back to the village.

Not exactly what I had in mind for Nekobuke spirits, but I think I like your idea better. *blushes* Anyway, all approved. We can start when one more person joins.
