That's sad. Let's talk about something everybody likes. Let's talk about food. I'll have chinese food for dinner tonight (ah that's boring)

I can't stand coffee besides the Starbucks Frapuccino either... But I can't exactly label it as genuine coffee..

General Tso's chicken? I searched on Google about it and I found out that I already ate it, but here it's called "Frango Xadrez".
My favourite chinese plate is and will always be Yakisoba (I know its overrated tho)

Hey, so I guess I never ate it. I'll search for more chicken modalities next time I eat chinese food (something I never do, 'cause I'm usually too focused on the Yakisoba and on the egg rolls...)

When it comes to food, I refuse to pay more than $10 CDN for a single meal for one person. I usually eat homemade foods for meals, and when I eat out, it's usually either McDonald's or KFC, I almost never eat at a chinese or sit down restaurant. I think homemade lasagna, for instance, is better than anything you could get at a restaurant.

No one ever said home made food isn't good. I love at times my countries typical home-made Colombian Dishes. I never eat mc Donald's anymore since I found out they use some weird black oils to cook there food which my friend once saw when he worked there. :grey:

I eat McD when I get fast food. For one, it's warm food and I warm it up before eating it. It fills me. While I like subway, with that I don't get a drink on the side - if I do, it costs more. So McD seems even better, because I get food and drink. And the sandwich, while nice and healthy with my toppings, doesn't fill me for too long.

In restaurants, I generally get noodle dishes. In terms of take-away from a pizzeria place, I get the baguette potato. You know, a baguette with sliced cooked potato and cheese and lettuce and stuff. Hurts my jaw, but it's good.

Oh man, now I'm getting hungry...

Heeeey I woke up in a good mood today. All the coffee talk here gave me the idea to go to the mall (one that has a Starbucks store) with my friends after school. And yup, I went. Look at this babe - soon I'll wash it and fortunately it will be used as a paint container for my next picture.

I have a lot of things to do this month... Reason: ENEM and university entrance exams. ENEM is "Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio" in Portuguese, which literally means High School National Exam in English. Basically, you have to sit your butt on a chair for five hours and answer 90 questions. The test is divided in two days - this year, it'll be October 26th and 27th. The first day consists of Human Sciences and Natural Sciences - History, Geography, Sociology, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The second, Languages and Math (Portuguese grammar, Lit, English, Spanish, Math and text writing). So there are 180 questions in total + the text writing. I don't think I can improve much my high school/basic knowledge about Chemistry, Biology and History because I already have a strong dominance on those subjects. For the next days, I'll focus mainly on Portuguese grammar, Math and Geography. That test result is used by many universities here as a requirement to accept students, so wish me luck.

Actually in my opinion I feel McD is way more expensive over all especially how unhealthy it is compared to subway. Good news for you since now they have the $4 lunch special all day with a 6 in and a side drink is only $4. :hotti:

German is different. And small sandwiches? Hell no, I go to sub, I get a foot long. And my standard veggie delite one costs 6€, a good 8€ if I take a drink with that. McD? One big menu - German big and not American Supersized Big - costs 6€ which includes a drink.

Well I don't know if in Germany but subway is doing $5 foot longs on all sandwiches plus a extra $1 gets you a drink which is same as McD but healthy

I'm way more of a Wendy's guy than McDonald's. At the end of the day, it's all still fast food that's not very good for you; but at least Wendy's doesn't use frozen meats or other "fake" ingredients. Also, their chicken is way better than McD's.

However, the best fast food place for me by far is Subways. In my opinion, it tastes a hell of a lot better than any burger joint and it's healthier for you (depending on what type of sub you get).

I like Wendy's, if i would eat any fast food places it would be Wendy's,Burger KIng, and pizza places that do Grilled Burgers. Should Subway even be considered a fast food place? :grey:

Never really liked Burger King. There are pizza places that sell grilled burgers!? The last time I checked, you went to a pizza place for, well, PIZZA. :grey:

Yes, Subways is technically a fast food place. Remember, fast food doesn't have to be greasy burgers and fries with tons of salt and fat. Your sandwich is done in less than three minutes, so yes; it's fast food. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's BAD or anything, though. If there's one problem that I have with Subways is that their prices can be a bit expensive. Whatever happened to the $5 footlongs? Now it's maybe ONE particular sandwich that's $5 dollars per month. Where I live though, this month almost all the sandwiches were $5 for the month of SUBtember. Get it? :payne:

Yeah there is actually a Pizza Palace near my job that does Grilled Burgers, Gyros,Pizza, and Lasagna, you gotta love NY. xD For me i consider fast food places that have food's that are unhealthy and cheap. I admit that Subway is expensive thats why i take advantage of the $4 everyday lunch where you get any 6in sub with a drink for $4 :grossburg:

I've been to New York a few times before. I like how there's a lot of street vendors selling sandwiches and other fast meals. Though I can imagine how unhealthy that would get after awhile. The best thing to do is for all of us to get off our lazy asses and simply cook our own meals. Not in America, though. :uramidn:

Whenever I get to college, I'm going to have to start doing that. There's also always ramen. :eh?:

I wouldn't classify Subways as a burger place, though I get what you mean. The fries at Wendy's though are boss.

I know a lot of things fast food restaurants don't want you to know. For example, the salami you get at subway is composed from slaughterhouse leftovers that they scraped off the floor, then cleaned with ammonia. In fact, a lot of restaurants use ammonia to clean their meat. I'm not kidding, look it up.

I view that as a poor mentality since you only live once. I know, it's cliched; but it's true.

For me, as long as it meets FDA approval/standards it's alright. Fast food isn't something that I eat regularly. It's been ages since I ate at McD's or Wendy's.

Point is, how will you know if it harms you or if it doesn't?

But avoiding fast-foods for this kind of motive is pratically useless. Most of our food is already harmful, since multinational companies aren't reliable when it comes to ethics and health. Even food containers/packages standalone were proven to be cancerigenous. As for the fruits and vegetables... I'm not sure if the use of insecticides and pesticides on them in the way they're used is a good thing. I dunno if some of you heard about the whole Monsanto thing... Sure shows how creepy the agribusiness is.

That is true. The point though is everything we eat can be potential harmful, we just have to be more precarious of what we eat.

Hi yeah I blew out a tire somehow a couple of hours ago and got to scream at my mom over the phone for yelling at me, which felt really great because she yells at me constantly and usually yells louder if I try to get her to stop, but she hung up instead. Then she and my dad came and got me and brought me home and now I'm here. It was pretty scary, I didn't know where my hazard light switch was and I kept thinking a truck was going to veer over and hit me while I waited for my parents..

Personally, I like the dark. It makes me feel.... at peace. My family jokes about me being a vampire due to this, also in part due to my tendency to sunburn easily and slightly larger than normal canines.
