"Uhh...the person who murdered me?" Helios asked, "That was Ghost, I think...but I guess he wouldn't even remember that."

"What? W-why would he want you dead?" Albert raises his eyebrows. "Wait...was he one of those...things? I guess he could be a doctor b-but maybe it's a...er, what do you call that thing? The semi-human people, I mean."

"I'm a woman, remember," Ghost said a little huffily. "You all saw that when Albert... er, the other Albert... killed me to take my suit. I remember it myself now, anyway, my gender."

"Um, anyway, I... I'm sorry for whatever I may have done to you, Helios," the continued quietly. "The worst part is I don't even remember doing it, I can't tell you why I'd have done that, how I was feeling when I did. Um, I think I would have deeply regretted it, though. I must've been very distraught about something. If I've got everything you've all been saying in order, that was the time I started to remember all about Bradley. I imagine I got very emotional about it all."

Bradley nodded acceptance still holding Ghost's hand "Well...maybe you can remember things one day and then tell me what all that was about." he looked awkwardly off to the side "Actually, I don't particularly remember feeling ill or sick so I'm not sure why you were treating me but yes Ghost looked after me all my life."

He looked over at Helios "Mr Helios...why did you want that..." he paused to remember the words "USB drive so badly?"

"Y-yeah...actually." Albert sighs, turning to Ghost. "Sorry that happened to you, Ghost. T-that wasn't me... Technically it was but, you know. I couldn't control him. He was too powerful for me. But I wouldn't do anything fucked up like that to you again...not like this, anyway. S-sorry for killing, like, everyone else that one time too. N-no hard feelings though, right? I think we've all killed someone or another at this point...shit, that's actually pretty terrible to think about..." He grimaces. "W-well, nothing wrong's been done yet, so we can still make up for our past mistakes, I guess!"

"Uhh...I guess I just wanted more information?" Helios said, "I think I was hoping that whatever was on that flash drive would help keep me alive. But I didn't know what was actually on it beforehand, honest!"

"And yeah...from what I remember, that's pretty much what happened," Helios continued, turning to Ghost. "Obviously, I'd be lying if I said I was completely okay with it...but honestly, what does it matter? For all intents and purposes, it never even happened. So Mr. Blaketon's right. It's not worth arguing over, especially since we're not out of danger yet."

"Alright, I think that's enough." Emma suddenly spoke up as the others discussed their situation.

"I'll unlock the 9 door soon enough. First," She motioned to the doors. "You'll all need to go through the Hospital, Garden and Biolab one more time. You may go through the rooms in any order you wish to. You can get the vaccines after that." It was clear from her voice she wasn't going to have it any other way. She then just stood looking at the others, awaiting their response.

"Well, let's check out the garden," Midge says. "I just remembered a world of possibilities, but it's true that I hardly feel satisfied with all this."

"I trust you, Emma."

"Anyway, I'll just go wherever you guys want to go."

Ghost nodded. "If you say so, Emma. I don't mind which room we pick first, so the garden seems as good as any."

Bradley frowned "Well...uh...why?"

Bradley looked at Emma perplexed and confused.

"For whatever reason Miss Null you've ran all this to get to this point. If you can unlock the door why do you need us to go to these places?"

“Yeah, hold on a sec,” Teddy said. “We got the ‘4’ key from the safe. Does that mean we’re gonna do Violet’s trial?”

"... perhaps." Emma answered Teddy ambiguously.

"Wait, how do we pick which room to do first?" Albert asked.

"I dunno." Violet shrugged. "We may as well vote."

Bradley frowned squeezing Ghost's hand nervously "D-do we really have to? Most of the other trials have required someone dies or forced us to kill one another. If all we need to do is go to these rooms before being let out to get the vaccines...do we really want to take a chance that another trial won't force us to kill someone?"

"Yeah, if we can get the vaccines without doing Violet's trial, we should probably just avoid it...unless there's some reason we would want to try it." Helios said, nodding. "Though I can't imagine what that would be..."

"For now, we might as well just go to the Garden."

"I trust Emma," Ghost said, holding Bradley's hand tightly. "I still haven't put all the pieces together but I remember enough that I think she can be trusted. Though I do think we'd all be better off with some more reassurance," she added, glancing at Emma.

After some time, the group headed into the garden. It looked slightly different from before, as the windows appeared to show an expansive horizon. There was also a circular platform in the middle.

"These windows weren't here before..." Albert murmured.

"Yeah, they were." Teddy said. "They're flat screens. I uh...broke them last time." He looked at the platform in the middle of the room. "But that...that wasn't here."

"Is that unusual?" Emma asked. "You've never been in here before."

"Yeah, yeah. Cats and unplayable Monopoly and all that..."

"What do we do, Miss Emma?" Bradley asked.

"There's a body buried in this garden. We just need to place it on the platform. Nobody will die, I promise."

Bradley frowned at the windows "This place was meant to be underground but perhaps that's another visual trick?" He said looking around the garden resting his eyes fondly on the frisbee he had played with.

"I dug up most of the garden looking for a body before here but...I didn't find anything." He muttered dejectedly "Maybe that's changed too in..whatever this is."

"Well, assuming nothing's changed..." Helios said, "Then I think the body should be buried somewhere over there..." Helios pointed to a section of dirt near the wall.

"So...anyone got a shovel?"

Adriana went a bit pale. "Do we really have to dig up the body?" she asked. "Is there another way to do this?"

Midge begins digging in the ground with her hands.

"Hehe, naw I'm just messing with you, I'll find a shovel," she says, standing up and going over to the gardening tools to get one.

She coughs and sets to work.

Soon after, the body is unearthed. Midge and Helios lift it onto the platform in the middle of the room, as instructed. Adriana looks at the ground while this is happening, uncomfortable with viewing the corpse.

"Alright." Emma nodded. "We’re going to vote to decide what to do with the body."

“Decide… what to do?”

Teddy raised an eyebrow at Emma but let her keep speaking.

She pointed at her bracelet. “We have two options. It’s currently lying on top of an incinerator. It’ll burn her body immediately, as long as we decide that’s what we want.”

“Why would we burn the body?” Violet asked.

Emma glanced at Teddy. “It’s evidence. Of accessory after the fact, at the very least.”

"Wait a second..." Albert looked at the body. "This is Teddy's doing?"

Helios shook his head. “Given Mr. Bianchi’s notoriety, and that this woman was a federal agent… there’s no way the prosecution isn’t going to push this to the fullest extent they can.”

So a group vote then…? Just have to decide whether or not to burn the body…

"W-well, I guess..." Albert bites his lip in thought. "I guess I'm not really sure. I guess after all Ted's done to me, I should be for keeping the body, but..." He looks at Violet. "The guy's a dad. I wouldn't want to ruin his family, even if he did mine. So yeah, I'll go with whatever the hell Ted decides to go with. That alright?", he asks.

"We should burn it." Violet answered almost immediately. "Daddy didn't do anything wrong...or well...in this timeline and in this building he didn't do anything wrong. He shouldn't be punished for killing whoever this other Adriana is!"

"I... feel like I'm lacking some context here," Ghost said, raising her hand timidly. "Sorry, but, no matter how much you tell me about these other timelines, I didn't live through them. Not the me standing right here, I mean. So... I feel like I'm missing the weight behind this decision. What's the incentive behind either choice? Is this... all about what might happen to Teddy and Violet after the game is over? All I really know about either of them is what you've all told me, of their actions in other times. I still don't really know them." She glanced at the pair, and added, "Sorry. It just doesn't feel right for me to judge you based only on what are, to me, just stories."

"But...but...Mr Teddy didn't do this right? If anything this is Miss Emma's doing since she ran this game, if we all say it was her there shouldn't be a problem right?" Bradley said as if it was obvious.

"Mr Teddy is a good man, he loves his daughter a lot. He didn't do this so it's simple he shouldn't get in trouble." Bradley said matter-of-factly.

"I don't think you understand." Emma said. "I brought the body here after Mr. Bianchi ordered an underling to bury it elsewhere."

"...and it's naive to say that this is the only crime he's committed." Albert bit his lip as he spoke. "You don't become a mob boss by being a nice guy."

Teddy looked at Albert and Emma, then focused all his attention on Emma. "Are you voting?"

"Can I not have an opinion?" She took a brief pause. "I'm not trying to sway anyone. Just presenting the facts."

Bradley gave a nervous look at the body "W-well...he might have had someone bury the body but it's not proof he killed her right? P-plus Miss Adriana is right here alive and well! That's good right?" He said hopefully.

"I feel like I'm doing jury duty..." Ghost muttered, downcast. "I haven't had any first-hand experience with Teddy's crimes. All I know is what I've heard as testimony. And now I'm meant to vote on whether legal action should be taken..."

Adriana seemed surprisingly muted and tired, like she'd lived far too long. "You... what are you people?"

"Helios-- here's a man who could end your campaign tomorrow, and you have the thing-- the perfect thing that keeps his interests in-line with yours-- and ensure that he can't betray you. Does that not matter to you anymore?"

"And Albert-- did I hear someone say that he killed your brother? That he's been after you for your debt?" asked Adriana, who would've sounded sarcastic if she weren't so laconic. "I'm shocked you're even considering the notion of letting him off for that when the potential for vengeance... for justice... is right in front of you. And for what? Because he has a daughter? How many sons or daughters do you think he's killed?"

She turned to Teddy. "Are you not concerned at all that your daughter is seeing a literal body? Are you okay looking the other way? Has this experience taught you nothing about the consequences of your actions? Or is justice just for the people you want to protect? Why did my other self even show you mercy if you're going to be such an awful person? A terrible father?"

And finally to Emma. "And why don't you have an opinion? Why don't you want to influence which way we vote? There's no reason for you to be neutral that I can see."

She sat with her back to the others. "Honestly... I'm not sure I understand any of you at all. I was so sure... I was one of you. But... now I can't make any sense of you at all."

Bradley gripped his arm and looked away somewhat ashamed by what Adriana was saying "What...what do you think would happen if they found the body?" He looked meekly up at Adriana "I mean I've lived most of my life without parents, I don't want to do that to Violet...you are alive aren't you Miss Adriana? Wouldn't it be easier for Mr Teddy to try and change and for us to burn whatever this is? You could just go back to your normal life."

He gave an apologetic look to Helios "Also Mr Helios, I do not mean to offend but from what others have said your campaign tomorrow sounds like it is already sunk."

"Bradley... if that... if she were your mother, would you want to be robbed of finding out what happened to her?" asked Adriana. "Remember, if... there's any truth to what you've been telling me, she's the only one of use who hasn't killed anyone-- she died trying to do her job-- to investigate crimes. For that, she was killed. What kind of human are you aiming to become if you want to throw away her story because it makes your friend's life easier?"

"R-remember, what we're ultimately voting on is whether a crime should become public knowledge," Ghost said warily. "We're not sentencing anyone, we're choosing whether the normal course of justice gets followed or not. If... if we hide this now, we're complicit in the crime. If we allow it to be found, we're giving people with actual authority on the matter the chance to make the right decision."

"And... I have to agree with Adriana," she added quietly. "I have no reason to doubt what I've heard here. Crimes can't... they can't go unpunished. After all, what would that mean for all the families left without mothers or fathers at the hand of the mob? The families in financial pressure, the families with their lives made worse by illegal activity? Even here, we have Albert, who can never again enjoy a meal with his brother."
