My whole damn workplace smokes. :/ The career I want requires good physical health, so I'm not killing my lungs. I have other ways to relieve stress.

I never understood smoking as a stress reliever. If you get lung cancer... wouldn't that make you stress? It's a ridiculous so-called "stress reliever". I've never smoked (and never will) and I'll never understand people that do.

Exactly. In High School, all of my friends smoked and they smelled so bad. They smelled even worse when they tried to mask the smell with an excessive amount of perfume. They smelled like an ash tray and a French prostitute.
It's so disgusting, though.

Eh cigarettes have a substance called nicotin that is famous for providing a false sensation of stress relief and can relax your muscles for few minutes.
I understand if somebody hate cigarettes, but some people have problems trying to quit their addiction.

NY is always so busy and crowded. There's bound to be countless smokers among the crowds and would be difficult to avoid unless you hold your breath.

It was like that in High School for me, too. I remember when I wanted to go through the short cut (outside) to get to the cafeteria instead of walking through the entire school and a whole bunch of kids were 'puff puff passing' right in front of the door. It was terrible. The smell was indescribable.
