Gloria steps out in front of everybody, "Alright, my dear children, that's enough votes! Let's see if my favorite daughter is a witch! I'll perform the rite! You all better hope this is right, as I only have so much magic to do this!"
In silence, everyone watches as Gloria waves her hand, and a shadowy black magic circle appears in front of Twilip. In the center is a swirling vortex pattern.
Twilip stares at it and begins to cackle. She laughs in a mixture of fear and madness and stress.
Gloria looks a little annoyed with her daughter, but asks her to step into the circle.
Twilip staggers her way into the circle, trying to outpace her own laughing fit.
[SCENE MUSIC]
A flash of light blinds everyone in the room for a few moments, their eyes can't focus. Everyone can only just barely make out the shadows of the other people in the room with them.
A black spiral whips across the room, and the light clarifies the darkness. It's not a white light, but it's one of crystal clarity upon that which it touches.
When Twilip comes back into focus, she's on her knees, shaking. She's still wearing her suit from the Memorial Day gathering. She stumbles up to her feet. She has a bit of a mad grin still, but there's a meekness to it. She seems somewhat small, and pathetic.
A voice shakes throughout the room.
"Twilip was the Doppelganger. She was good at learning new things very quickly.
Each night she visited two people. She would copy the ability of the first person she would visit. Then, she would use the ability she copied on the second person she would visit. If the ability she copied targeted two people, the second person she would use the ability on would be herself.
She was and is sided with the Mortals."

The light fades completely. Everyone knows that Twilip is a Mortal now.

It was unclear how much stock he was putting into this explanation but he was at least listening. "I hesitate to believe it, but if Asher were alive it would explain the two deaths that happened the third twilight of our first arc."
He bit his lips. "But I feel really fucking uneasy about this path. If Asher was alive, then we know less than we thought we did. There wouldn't be three people alive at the end of the arc. They're probably mortals, but it wouldn't be a certainty."

"Perhaps your dear husband is actually a witch like the mechanics imply," Briggs said, closing his eyes. "...He will still be your husband, nevertheless. I don't doubt that he still loves you. But if Sir Zachary is not a witch, then there was no hope for us from the start."
Briggs stretched his arms out. "That being said, I'm fine with discussing more as the group desires. The Golden Land is treating me quite nicely, the longer I stay here. A life free of stress and pain, here. Is that really such a horrible fate?"

Arc 1:
T1: "I visited thought I visited Lucine and Robin, but if Archer is to be believed then I visited Vincent first instead."
T2: "I am fairly certain I visited Bertram and Zachary in that order."
T3: "I visited Archer and Allister, although that seems to have done nothing."
T4: "Tried to save Wyn by using Bertie's power as a shield. Sadly it didn't work."
T5: "I used Basil ability on Zachary, and pay attention this time because now you can't say I'm lying here. Zachary didn't visit anybody."
Arc 2:
T1: "Tried Wyn and Lucine, got Billied, and thrown off a balcony... Didn't Billy have an eye patch earlier come to think of it?"
Arc 3:
T1 and T2: "I used Wyn's ability on Vincent twice, he visit people and basically fakes being someone else, I assume this would only work on Jackie and Bertram though."
T3: "I took Archer for a spin and tried to swap myself with Violet, although that ended up getting Basil offed instead."
T4: "I investigated Lucine and found that her visits cannot be seen, although she can be seen leaving by Basil. If I had know that Asher was coming to take vengeance for his sister I would've gladly taken him with me."

"If we're talking strange occurrences, I think we can explain the Asher 'zombie' at least," he then said. "Archer tried to swap Asher and Allister in the second twilight, but because of Allister this action was delayed. The witches targeted Asher and killed him. Come next twilight, the world tried to reconcile its current state with Archer's delayed action; that is, Allister would have been attacked by the witches while Asher would have lived. Of course this would make no sense, so after a brief bit of unnatural strangeness Asher went back to being dead."
