I try not to judge games unless I actually play at least a bit of them to get the feel of how the game feels. I think its dumb to base how good a game is on just watching trailers and walkthroughs. Especially taking someone's opinion about a game without at least trying to see for yourself if you like a game our not.I had that same issue with Mass Effect,I hated it at first glance but I decided to give it a chance since my friend had it and I admit the 1st game was okie but I didn't really get into it.

I can't lie. I have judged games based on other people's opinions. I'm sure everyone has done that in their lifetime. I hated Final Fantasy games, after hearing reviews, but my parents had bought me Final Fantasy X and X-2 for Christmas a few years ago and I enjoyed them. My sister has a few Final Fantasy games and she let me play them and I enjoyed them as well.

I got Super Mario Galaxy today, and raged quite a short time into the game. I played the sequel, but never the original, and it's been a few years since I played it, so I must have forgotten how bad I am at it.

Applied for a training position at Gamestop starting March. Let's see if they'll take me this time... I'm a good worker, I love playing videogames, I know about videogames, I would be great for the job.

Why the mixed feelings? It's hardly like you need to worry about getting on in life, 18 is a great age.

I can imagine. I guess it's a big deal because you're supposedly given more freedom and you're above the legal drinking age. I'm not bothered about either of these things, so you're probably right.

@Pierre: I'm not entirely sure, but I suppose you're right. I shouldn't be bothered about it.

Being above legal drinking age really isn't all that great or changes anything.
I mean, until I hit 23 last year, I didn't feel like drinking. And even now, I barely drink.
If, then it's a cocktail or something like plum juice mixed with some limonchello.
For anyone interested: tastes quite nice.

Only thing I'm jealous about drinking is that alcoholics drinks have all those really interesting and colourful pretty cocktails that look deliciously fruity.

I turned 19 on December 16th a couple of weeks ago. 19 is legal drinking age here in Canada. I drank a little bit, as I got 2 bottles of booze, 1 wine and 1 cooler, for my birthday, and I drank them within the span of 3 days, not quick enough to actually get me drunk. I got a six pack of cooler for Christmas, as well as some more wine and some vodka mixed with lemonade. I drank it slowly, drinking it all over the span of a week, again, not quite fast enough to get me too drunk. I've felt a little bit buzzed, but not quite to the extent of vomiting and being unable to walk in a straight line. I don't plan on getting that drunk, as I don't want to deal with a hangover, as I've heard that they make you feel like you're suffering for the world's sins.

I can agree with you there. A lot of alcoholic beverages have interesting names and backstories as well.

You should see what happens when you mix "candy apple fago" and ginger ale. It is pretty.

This is also true. There are many cocktails that are non-alcoholic, a common example being the Cinderella.

I love booze, but I drink it so rarely that I'm a total lightweight. I don't drink to get drunk like I did in my late teens/early 20's but I usually end up pissed because I never know my limits.

Y'see I know there's some great non-alcoholic cocktails out there and I've had a few, but the greatest effort for cocktails is still in the alcoholic field XD Hence why I'll never see anything as AMAZING as Looby's one!

Wow, and I thought I was the only one to dislike alchool. Every time I take some I always have the feeling that I'm drinking cough syrup. But I must admit, I like some drinks like rhum and coke, screwdrivers and champagne. I recently tried sake and consider it as a shooter. I try to like beer, since people at school often go to the pub and drinks, and... I don't go because I hate it when people remarks that I don't drink, and I don't feel like paying 8$ for one.
Please don't hit me...

Mmhmm there's times when I feel I'd get more less shifty looks and remarks if I told them I was a recovering alcoholic instead of a teetotal because I didn't like it.

I just had leftovers from yesterday - cooked vegetables in a curry + coconut milk sauce with rice. Delicious, and it's a vegan meal. I have a nice spicy-burn in my throat.

You take supplements, right? 'Cause without supplements, it's hard to get the nutrition you need when you're a vegan. There's some nutrients that are really hard to find outside of Meat and Dairy Products.

I'm not vegan. I'm a part-time vegetarian. I eat white meat, though rarely. And no, I don't take supplements. We just generally eat vegetarian stuff at home, or I eat vegetarian when my mom makes herself some meat. And sometimes, by pure coincidence, we end up cooking vegan.
When my mother makes some sauce, she uses the same pan she cooks the meat it, so I do get meat juice and the vitamins in it.

It's not that hard. The only thing you have to take supplements for as a vegan is B12, otherwise it's fairly easy.

As said, I don't take supplements and my vitamins and all are just fine. When I get my blood checked, I always pay attention to the iron level and it's in an average range.

I used to have a girlfriend back in 5th grade, but she moved away. Good thing, too, as she was a manipulative bitch, using me to get whatever she wanted.

Well, that's a bit presumptuous. Different people mature at different ages, you know.

Anyways, what I meant by manipulating me, was that she always forced me to do whatever she wanted me to do. She actually grabbed me by the arm and pretty much dragged me to different parts of the playground to do different things. I should've worded what I said better.

5th grade? That's really young. I'm sorry, but hearing an 11-12 year old "manipulating" other kids (let alone being in a relationship) sounds far-fetched and not right to say the least.
I was in my first relationship when I was 17 and he and I are still together. (I'm 21 now). I'm sure you've seen him around here. He goes by "Fool Bright". :pearl-blush:

It's odd how different school years work in different areas. I had a similar difficulty telling people my year leven. I was an exception to our schooling system. I'm still 17 and I finished my final year last year. (Most people began their final schooling year at 17/18, but I began at 16, so I was a young one! :basil: )

She came up and got me the firefly board game which we played long into the night xD Its so nice having someone to cuddle up to again.

So yeah an excellent birthday thanks everyone. Also having a three way birthday party this weekend for me and friends so should be good too

Well, I was rather young, too! When I started school for the first time, I was 4, and I finished school at 17! The reason for that is because my birthday is late in the year, December 16th.

I started school at age 6, which is overall a normal age, I guess. But I did tend to be a year younger than majority of people in my class until 6th grade. Then I had to leave due to illness - and some disciplinary problems - and repeated a year and graduated at age 17 with a Mittlere Reife.
Which is, like, the 2nd best thing to get when graduating the equivalent of high school. The lower one is a Quali, which you get after 9th Grade and the other is an Abitur, which you get after 12th Grade.

I never drink, it's not really my thing. I'll be 22 in July and I've only drank liquor once and I hated it.

Mmhmm there's times when I feel I'd get more less shifty looks and remarks if I told them I was a recovering alcoholic instead of a teetotal because I didn't like it.

In other news I'd quite like to give a shout-out to Ceres. A long time ago he once sent me a nice "Happy Birthday" message completely unprompted back when I was tiny and new and scared of everyone here. Ceres wherever you are, hope it's going great.

Sorry it's late, but happy birthday Pierre! Even though nobody said happy birthday to me. :sadshoe:

I'm meant to be going on a school trip to New York next week, but apparently the weather has been awful there. They'd better not cancel the flights. This is one of the few chances I may ever get to go to America.
