Thank you! :D

We have trips to both of those places as well. I've been on the Flamingo land one, but most of the time the queues are too long to make it worth going.

I'm meant to be going on a school trip to New York next week, but apparently the weather has been awful there. They'd better not cancel the flights. This is one of the few chances I may ever get to go to America.

It might be moot point now, but happy belated birthday! Hope it was a good one.

... And, needless to say, I hope they don't cancel your trip! It seems like the weather has been more extreme all over lately. What do you have plans to do in New York?

Ah, thank you so much! :maya:

Gosh, they're packing so much in it's hard to remember it all. ^^;; We're doing some sightseeing, like going to see the Statue of Liberty and other famous places (I can't remember them all. :payne: ), we'll be visiting the Museum of Modern Art, seeing central park and possibly going ice skating as well. We'll also be visiting a Holocaust museum.

Wohoo, a new recap of VGR about Ace Attorney 1-5! Stuff to laugh at before I go to bed~

OmG, they're playing the HD version of the game and the game still fucks its spelling up.
That's hilarious, but in a pretty sad way.

That typo wasn't even in the original. I know because I'm in the middle of replaying that segment right now.
Why is it that every time you bring up that case on this forum, I just happen to be replaying it, and at that exact moment in the case?

A weird coinkydink?

And I was more referring to the fact that, despite it being HD and ported and changed a lot for the port, they still get really silly typos into the game. Don't they have proofreaders? Don't they notice stuff like that? I mean, I'd expect a proofreader to be required to be good at grammar and spelling in the language they are proofing for.

What I find most bizarre is not the fact that there's a typo there, it's the fact that the HD port actually added one. I mean, aren't HD ports supposed to fix problems with the original instead of adding more? Why couldn't they have just copy and pasted the script from the original game? It baffles me, truly.

Cause if they just copy-pasted the original text, we'd have Gant saying "write" instead of "right".

By the way, according to the recap, if you check out the policemen at the headquarters after talking to Meekins, one of the guys is writing a novel. And he uses the idea of using the sound of a gun shot from a cassette tape. And until it was just mentioned in the recap, I never realized that that's pretty much a hint on how things went down in...

Spoiler:
Case I-4, except there it was a video.

Neat.

edit
Even better, check out this pile of giant fuck up! OmG, did anybody even BOTHER doing a semi-decent job at this HD version? :gant: And according to the recap, this isn't the only mistake at that part of the profiles.

As an aside, I have to point out one of the lovely bugs introduced in the HD iPad version of this game. In this section of the trial, all evidence and profile descriptions are profoundly messed up, to the point of being unusable for anyone playing this game for the first time. I only mention this because of the unintentionally hilarious results, as you can see from the screenshot.

@Lucy - Sounds like a lot of interesting stuff! Shame you lot aren't going to catch a show, though; I've never been to NYC, but that's the first thing that comes to mind. I've heard the weather in the eastern US is reaching record lows, so here's hoping it clears up enough that you get to go. (And that it's not too cold to do much when you get there, haha.)

That's incredible. I almost love it for how awful it is.

The HD version even looks a little strange to me. All of the lines are too thick; I don't know how it manages to look so... off, but a lot of the charm seems lost somehow.

God I remember how terrible it was reading those messed up character profiles. I admit they should have done a better job, which I don't understand why they couldn't do it when they had plenty of time with the push back dates of the game :ron:

It's not that hard. The only thing you have to take supplements for as a vegan is B12, otherwise it's fairly easy.

As said, I don't take supplements and my vitamins and all are just fine. When I get my blood checked, I always pay attention to the iron level and it's in an average range.

I wish it would warm up. With the wind chill, it's been like -30 degrees Celsius every day. There's snow everywhere and I twisted my knee trying to navigate the extremely icy sidewalks. :| I practically slip and lose my balance every time I try to walk somewhere in this terrible weather.

Man, it has been freezing this year. I believe we just had a day with a wind chill of -50 Degrees Fahrenheit not too long ago. Normally I don't mind the cold too much, but it's getting pretty dang ridiculous! I wish it would get above freezing, now.

I'm not one to go for New Year's Resolution since I rarely have any or keep them after a while, but... my two/three are that I will cut down on my intake of McDonald's. I've done it before, McD used to be a once-a-week thing or less. My other is that I will get the money, which probably means getting a job, to buy some clothes from desigual.
Those clothes from desigual have such awesome patterns.

Downside, they have gorgeous knee length dresses with cool patterns, but you need thin calves/legs for them.

I actually stopped eating mc Donald's since August and it feels so good. I lost 10 pounds after that with exercise and a lot of standing up during the day at my old job.

Just made a nice cake using the baking supplies I got for my birthday.

It occurred to me whilst making it, would be a great thing to take to the party tomorrow...but it's too big that I don't think we've got any reasonable means to transport it. :sadshoe:

Edit: Scratch that, I found a large round Celebrations tub I'd won at work for doing a good job. Remembered I'd kept it specifically for situations where I bake a cake XD.

Whoop Whoop.

Awww! That dog is sooo cute! :acro:

Dogs are really awesome. I don't have one, but my Uncle does, and his is so sweet. I'd like one myself at some point, but right now I have a cat, and he's really frightened of them. :sadshoe:

My girlfriend has the 3 awesome and sweetest Pitbulls. I wish I had a cat, my landlord doesn't allow pets :/
