Well, seeing as how the games are, yeah, that's pretty much it. From what I've seen, fans of the series liked the movie though.

Okay, playing Case 1-4, I come across this part at the end and something in it made me think of Gyakuten Kenji 2's third case. The big thing that they revealed, from what I read about the game and cases for that Edgeworth game...

Spoiler:
...is that the Chief Prosecutor at the time of DL-6 was also corrupt as anything, which is why he never gave Karma a penalty until Edgeworth managed to get Karma a slight strike in the case that led to DL-6. Now, I have overall nothing against that...

Except it was pretty much revealed in 1-4, after all.
In the flashback, the chief prosecutor literally says: "I've covered for you in the past, but not this time."

Again, I have nothing against that, but... why make this seem like such a big deal, considering it was technically already stated in 1-4?

No really, it's great.

The music is basically the game music. And the problem with the anime is that it practically expect anyone who watches it to have played the game already, so any potentially surprising "Plot Twist" was made painfully obvious. Which really ruins parts of it.

Spoiler:
You know, plot twists like Naoto's gender... which even in the Japanese version wasn't all that well hidden. Even if her voice actress was Romi Park.

Of course it's music from the game! The anime is based off a game, of course they'd use the music. I just like it...
I haven't played the game, but if you're finding it out without actually spoiling it for yourself, it really doesn't matter to me. I'll just go with it.

If you're a fan you are watching it for the fanservice and the enjoyment of seeing a tale you like realised in a slightly different manner (I for one think the Video Game Dungeon episode is done MAGNIFICENTLY). If you ain't then it's quite a nice little slice of life animé with pleasant music and a nice plot.

Win Win either way.

I've just gotten into the Persona series, I've been listening to the music, watching an LP of 3:FES, and am thinking about getting 3 and 4 next time I have an Amazon gift card. So...yeah, the Anime is super good. (I hope they dub the Persona 3 movies...)

I just finished recording my LP of Case 1-4, meaning I finished the first AA game. Well, except for Case 1-5, but I will play that after JFA and T&T, due to references and all. Thank God Karma is only in the first game and I do not have to voice him anymore...

Is there anything in particular in the anime that differs from the game? I've already beaten Persona 4 Golden pretty much in its entirety, so you don't have to worry about revealing things that I could have conceivably failed to catch in my own playthroughs. That said, out of respect for those who have yet to play it (let alone regular Persona 4), please keep the details in spoiler tags.

I've not seen it in it's entirety but yes it differs a bit in places, at least in execution. The plot is the same of course.
Of course battles are done differently, usually they are 'talked out' in a way which weakens the boss momentarily as character X has a certain revelation. An like I said, Video Game Dungeon Boss is done very interestingly.

Well... the Persona 4 Anime is not based off of Golden, so no Marie.

The plot is overall the same, but as Pierre said, execution is different. Some episodes revolve solely on focusing on the non-party member Social Links, so you generally end up getting some very condensed versions of their entire Social Links.
To be honest, I'm quite glad about that in terms of Ebihara, although I wish she had been cut out entirely.

The anime does keep up with the game's silly nature. It makes fun of things, keeps comedy up at certain points, I like how the "Mock Gokon" was handled. It was exactly the way I did it in my game~ The fights are done differently... I love the battle against the 2nd Shadow!

Downside to the anime... well, I personally only got up to Episode 20 or 21, because I couldn't find the last few episodes subbed. But I heard that the last few episodes remain its epicness.

No thanks. While it is hilarious to think of Yuri Lowenthal when we have Yosuke yell at his Shadow that he's not like that (similar to Luke and Asch), I do not feel like I'd enjoy the last few episodes of the anime all that much with a woman clearly voicing Naoto or Laura Bailey, who always, always, always sounds like she's using her Sera Voice in every role I have seen her by now.

SERAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Ahem, well, I like Yuri Lowenthal as Yosuke, and Chie's voice actress sounds like an actual High School student. But I do miss Teddie's old voice.
Well, I got all 26 episodes on Wednesday...so I'm gonna watch them all. No spoilers, guys. That'd be great. :edgey:

Yup, all dubbed, blu-ray, dual audio, etc. So sick. I also like Yu in this one, he is so deadpan, as he is able to get away with things that would warrant a smack for any of the other male characters, mainly due to how little he means offense.

I don't know if this is happening in other countries as much as here in the Netherlands, but over the past few weeks this phenomenon (or is it a meme, I dunno) is becoming crazy popular. I'm talking about pictures with this kind of format:

X (let's take students for this example) be like

*picture of something

Y (class tomorrow? 5 more beers please!)

here is an image example, which may be more clear than my previous explanation.
Spoiler:

I couldn't find a fully English one, for those interested the bottom part means: to stuff or to walk.

Anyway pictures like these are flooding my social media lately and it's starting to get repetitive real quick. Are you people experiencing the same thing?

This is from the wiki, so....yeah.

Two new Social Links. Both Social Links are capable of unlocking new story content — such as new dungeons, and additional scenes for every ending.
Marie, a Persona 4 Golden exclusive character, of the Aeon Arcana.
Tohru Adachi, of the Jester Arcana.
New Difficulty levels similar to Persona 3 Portable. On New Game+, the player can change and even customize the difficulty levels for individual game elements in the configuration menu. The pre-set levels of difficulty are:
Safety (Very Easy in NA Version)
Easy (Left untouched in NA Version, used to be called Beginner)
Normal
Hard (Left untouched in NA Version, used to be Expert)
Risky (Very Hard in NA Version)
Several new music tracks.
Additional voice over dialog.
Chie and Teddie have new voices in the English versions.
New animated cutscenes.
More Personas, including new Ultimate Personas for the Investigation Team.
New areas, such as Shichiri Beach, and a ski resort. Okina City, which was only seen during certain Social Link scenes, is now accessible.
New events, such as a Halloween event and a skiing trip.
The player can now explore Inaba in the evening, when Dojima is not home. Places to visit are limited, à la Persona 3.
Yu and his friends now have motorized scooters to explore various areas.
Costumes are now available to buy at Croco Fur, in Okina City. Costumes have their own slot for equipment, and affects the Investigation Team's appearance, similar to Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable. Costumes do not affect the party's stats.
New Garden and Bug Catching features.
Trophies.
The ability to choose which skills can be inherited by the persona the player is fusing. (However inheritance restriction still applies.)
The Vox Populi (Voice of the People) and SOS are new additions to the game, available while connected to the PlayStation Network.
The Vox Populi can be used to see what other players of Persona 4 Golden have chosen to do during the current day in the game. The feature is also available in the Velvet Room to see what personas other players are currently fusing.
The SOS feature calls other online players for help in dungeons, allows you to send help to others, and is received as a gift of a minor amount of health and spirit. The amount restored by the SOS is very little and isn't restricted by the current health status of your party.
New scene skipping function.
If the player fulfills criteria for at least the good ending, daily activities are expanded to February 14, 2012, giving more time for events and social links.
New epilogue for the True Ending.
Changes to the requests of NPCs or the fox.
Some changes to the flow of battle:
Some shadows/enemies have changed their attribute (weakness/strength/null) or area spawn.
Shuffle Time has been revised.
Rebalanced characters.
Rise can now assist the Investigation Team in All-Out-Attacks.
Tag Team attacks.
Cavalry Attacks: Attacks from members of the Investigation Team that are not currently in the party. These usually are a follow up to Weak/Critical attacks that down an additional enemy or two allowing for an All-Out-Attack.
Some spells has been reduced its usage cost (Megidolaon now only costs 38 SP and Morning Star costs 55 SP).
A new "TV Listings" menu, for displaying bonus content unlocked through the main game. Bonus content and the game itself are presented as television shows. The various shows are:
Song Battle 2012 - Various clips from Persona Music Live 2008 and 2009.
Mr. Edogawa's TV Classroom - Lectures on the various themes of the game and their relation to psychology.
Midnight Miracle Quiz - A Quiz show with questions regarding minor aspects of Inaba and the Shadow World. The character dialogue in this content is fully voiced.
Daily Personamations! - A hub for rewatching the game's animated cutscenes. Scenes are unlocked as they are encountered during play.
P4 Golden - The main game, this program serves as a link to return to the game.
Giants of P - A series that shows Persona 4 concept art with commentary on each piece. Additional pieces of art are unlocked as the story progresses.
HEE! HEE! HOO! Music King - An in-game music player for listening to previously encountered music. Additional tracks are unlocked through playing the game.
Persona Hits - This series shows various Japanese television commercials for Persona, Persona 3, and Persona 4.
What is P4 Arena? - Plays the P1 Grand Prix introduction video from the Persona 4 Arena story mode.
P4 the Animation! - A Japanese extended trailer for the Persona 4 anime, this content has the original Japanese audio and does not contain subtitles.
The Midnight Channel - A Minigame accessible only when the PlayStation Vita's clock is at Midnight until 1:00 AM. It features Teddie covered by TV static and can be manipulated with the device's touchscreen. Teddie is fully voiced in this mode.
The return of the Aeon Arcana and the introduction of the Jester/Hunger Arcana. Personas present in Persona 3 FES that were not carried over in Persona 4, such as Seiten Taisei and Lakshmi, as well as some brand new Personas like Baphomet and Kaguya Hime, have been placed in the Aeon and Hunger Arcana.

Copy and Pasted.

I think H stories have the worst medical reasoning at times...
And this is not a matter of just happening in Hetero H, but also Yaoi H...

Spoiler:
Granted, I am not the most knowledgeable person about medicine, but simple anatomy tells me that it doesn't matter if you haven't "relieved" yourself for so long that sperm builds up and pushes into your stomach cavity.
#1 - Anatomy is not like that
#2 - Futari H! told me that "superfluous" sperm gets built off in the body to extra protein and such.

I just had to point that out.
Because I need to know that it's not just my husband who agrees that it's silly...

Haha, well now you have to tell us. You've mentioned how much you want a girlfriend quite a few times already, so I'd assume you want to talk about it! What's the girl of your dreams like?

... "H"? Meaning... hentai? You're honestly concerned about the medical reasoning of cartoon porn? And you're using examples from... other cartoon porn to prove your point? I think you're missing the bigger picture here.

Here I was, minding my own business, and then you just had to go and make me crave teriyaki chicken.

Haha I'm sorry xD. It was just so delicious I had to post about it :nick-heart:

Hey, even if Futari H! has deteriorated into any given porn, it did (and I guess still does, although I stopped reading it after it got porn dialogue around Volume.... 34 or so) give some pretty legit and good reasons or even advice at times.

"Welcome to court-records.net, where we discuss girlfriends, the logic behind hentai, and how delicious teriyaki chicken is all at the same time."

Sorry, I had to. It was weird seeing the conversations go on simultaneously without either one taking much notice of the others.

I once saw a hentai where this guy had to have sex with his 3 hot sisters because they had a disease that made them really horny. If they didn't drink a copious amount of sperm.... wait for it.... they would die. They didn't want to be violated by just ANYONE, so the next best thing was their younger brother.
I'm Blak, and I have shit taste.

Nothing, of course. I just found the clashing topics to be kinda funny and thought to comment on it. :phoenix:

Don't forget that people here are generally much friendlier and less negative about everything.
