"Makes sense," Stella nodded. "As for me, I received 120K as planned. Pink must have guessed who would get the questions right incorrectly."

She smiled lightly at Max. "Well, I think this worked out about as well as it could have given the circumstances. I'm satisfied."

Luka dodged the chocolate strike, did a backflip, and slapped Max in the face to thunderous applause wiped the chocolate off of his face, giving Max a death glare as he left the room. "Just a sore loser." He muttered. "Bitter old bastard."

The group slowly leaves the dining room, when they see that the door in the parlor is open with the code "EGG" in the lock.

They take a look inside the room and find that the room is not very big, maybe the size of the broom closets. The walls are eggshell white, and all across them are patterns of lines, like the entire room has a maze etched into the wall. All of the lines are very close together and yet they stay parallel or perpendicular to one another with precision. The walls, floor, and ceiling are covered with the lines, giving the viewers a poor sense of depth, going in. Ambient light illuminates the room from somewhere.

Searching the room, there appears to be a list in the corner, along with rules:

"Round 2: Werewolves

This classic game will be played with nine players, and will take approximately half an hour.

The goal of the game for the Werewolves is to survive.

The goal of the game for the Village is to kill one of the Werewolves.

At the beginning of the round, each player will receive a role. It can be any of the following:

Win if Village wins:

Villager (2 in game)

Hunter (If voted to be killed, may also kill one other player of their choice)

Troublemaker (Swaps the roles of two players before game start)

Robber (Trades their role for another player's before game start. After trading, they check to see what they got)

Mason (Knows the identity of the other mason) (2 in game)

Insomniac (Sees what their role is after Robber and Troublemaker have changed things)

Win if they die:

Tanner

Win if Werewolves win:

Minion (Knows who Werewolves are)

Werewolf (Knows identity of other Werewolves) (2 in game)

There are twelve roles to be assigned, which means three will be assigned to nobody.

Prize pool is $300,000 and will be shared among the winners. Those who vote correctly will receive a bigger share.

To begin the game, close the door with all players inside.

Game ends when all players have voted. Whoever has the most votes at that time is killed."

Maximillion burst out laughing as he read the rules "Oh...oh my, well games do always lie on the box about that. Still this is indeed a classic, we should all do our best to enjoy this one!"

Idly swishing his scarf around the room "By my estimations, Luka is probably now significantly in the lead. So in this game there's probably good reason to kill him outright early on so he can't win. I suppose our standings in the ranks will also affect this game...unless."

Looking up at the ceiling Maximillion asked "Do we win as a team? Even if dead?"

“So the town only gets one shot to kill one of the werewolves? Interesting,” Vivienne remarked, “I’ve heard about these sorts of games before, but I don’t think they ever go quite like this.”

“Additionally, who figured out that password? And where, precisely, did they get it from?”

"The wind chimes," The Emissary replied, pointing back outside the room to the parlour. "Playing notes E, G and G. Somehow we never thought to try it while exploring earlier. I went back for a second look after answering the questions for round 3."

Maximillion tutted a little disappointed that there was only going to be one round. "Well I suppose that is one way to make sure the game only lasts 30 minutes. A pity, but I suppose we can always come back and play this proper in the afterparty." he shrugged.

If Tanner wins, Werewolves and Minions lose.

"We only get one vote, and as villagers we only win if that vote hits a werewolf. Villagers absolutely need to be careful going about this," The Emissary said. "I suppose in that case it doesn't much matter how many werewolves there are; if anything the more werewolves, the better chance the villagers have of hitting one.

"It's worth noting that I'm not sure werewolves get a 'kill' power themselves, as would be normal in this sort of game. Their aim is simply to ensure not a single werewolf is voted for. If the villagers vote for a villager instead, they all lose and the $300,000 get split between the werewolves only. That is their sole aim."

Maximillion frowned as he mulled over the rules “How are we meant to deduce werewolves then? There’s a lot of information to be gained from the first few nights and behaviours in this game. This is the equivalent of a shot in the dark.”

Cousteau sat on her shoulder doing bird things I guess.

“This game does seem... rather luck-based,” remarked Astrid, who had been staring at the rule sheet since it was displayed. “A lot of people do seem to have some information though, so calling it a shot in the dark seems like a bit of an overstatement... although I doubt town will ever be able to get anything definitive, either.”

Maximillion clapped his hands together and breathed out slowly. "Well then...since it does not seem to be productive debating this any more. I suggest we all get into character for a charming chunk of role-playing. Shall we shut the door?" He suggested reaching for the handle.

The door shuts. And the players are left standing in the strange space of swirling, dizzying lines, giving many of them a headache.

In this room, everyone is relatively close together. As such, each voice echoes across the room loudly, a private conversation would be heard by everyone.

It has been decided: players are entitled to their practice round.

As such, roles for the practice round will be doled out to everyone.

Both the Robber and the Troublemaker make decisions during the night, but in the interest of time, the actions of the Troublemaker and the Robber will be randomly determined. For the real round, the Robber and Troublemaker will have to submit their actions.

Roles are being distributed, once you have your role, you may openly discuss with others about who the werewolves might be.
