I didn't notice until you pointed it out, but yes, the ghost does resemble Godot. That's Emit Relevart, a pre-made Sim who is supposed to give your Sims access to the future. He has blue hair when he's alive, so that's probably why I never noticed the similarities to Godot.

I noticed more it was Godot due to his attire and the mask.

I mostly noticed the white hair and first thought of the classical musicians, then I realized he was wearing a mask thing and, bam, I thought Godot. Of course, the clothes don't quite fit, but who cares about the clothes when the telltale hair and mask is there.

From what I've read about Into The Future, though, I don't think I'd get it... the Utopia future seems so... overly happy and sappy, I'd get annoyed at everyone pretty fast. And the Dystopia one... eh, much as I enjoy things not being overly happy, that is just the opposite end of the spectrum, which isn't all that fun to play through for very long, either.

I think I will get Late Night instead. I have a Half Prince sim modelled after Prince, so the celebrity system will be great to make him be the most sought after thing in the world!

I tend to favor the regular future myself. With Dystopian, I'm always worried one of my Sims will get killed by a meteorite or lightning. With Utopian, even though this supposedly really is a good future, everyone is so over-the-top happy that I can't help but think there is something really dark hiding just behind the scenes.

Right? I mean, with so much happiness, you kinda feel really awkward... not to be pessimistic, but somehow nothing but happiness just makes me suspicious. It's like if a character is being overly helpful or cute and innocent, my suspicions just stack up.
Plus... well, just happiness. It's boring.

By the way, I just read the latest Kuroshitsuji chapter... Two things.
#1 - why did it take 90 Chapters to finally get Sebastian naked? Especially naked alongside Ciel. And even then, we barely see anything of Sebastian. What the hell, Toboso had better have a good reason to never show any proper Sebastian nudity.
#2 - Ms Sullivan wants Sebastian to be her butler until Ciel is okay again... maybe it's cause of what she said in the last chapter, but I'm suspecting another... Sebastian and woman in bed scene? Then again, I don't think he's into loli-oh what am I talking about, he's Ciel's butler, of course he goes for younger ones...!

Speaking of reading, I can't wait to read the new one piece chapter tomorrow. It sucked that there was a week break last week but im glad there is gonna be a new chapter tomorrow and I hope it will finally reveal a lot more of the plot twist.

I was reading up on Slavic mythology a moment ago and came across something interesting. Apparently, the ancient Slavs believed that the souls of the dead took the form of stars in the night sky. It's probably just a coincidence that Regina Berry believed this.

Eh... I never thought her idea was weird. I didn't know about the slavs, but I did read Fushigi Yuugi which said they'd be in Miaka's world as midday stars. Not visible to the naked eye, but still there. Maybe that's why I can sorta understand Regina's view.

Just a question, does anyone else ever get that strange feeling in you nose around this time of year. That feeling like there is an earthquake going on in your nose and it is throwing you senses off. It only lasts a second, but your mind can only think "what the hell was that?!?"

Can somebody tell me who the hell was responsible for the English translation of Lightning Returns? I want to shoot them in the kneecaps because this translation is so sub-standard, I cringe whenever I read it. The good thing is, it trains my Japanese even more, since Japanese Audio with this terrible translation actually makes me translate the Japanese better and I learn something.
But this is just bad. Okay, here's a few lines from one of the final scenes that just bugged me.

Spoiler: Final Day Spoilers
Fang and Vanilla are about to try to guide the souls of the people who died over the 500 years since chaos errupted over the world into the new one. This may kill them, but here is what they say in Japanese - roughly translated by me.

Vanilla: Let's do it.
Fang: Even though we might die...?
Vanilla: Together, we'll be okay. *begins to pray*
Fang: *grabs her hands* Even if I die, I won't let you go.

Here's what the subtitles say.

Vanilla: Let's go.
Fang: I've made my peace.
Vanilla: We'll be together forever. *begins to pray*
Fang: Death won't keep us apart.

Okay, Vanila's line wasn't that bad. But Fang's is SO OFF ITS ROCKER that I have to ask what the hell the translator was smoking when he chose those words.

You know, I'm willing to look past a mediocre translation in a game, I can get myself to laugh at the bad parts at times. But here, it's just so... so bad. It hurts me to have to read this. Next playthrough, I'm turning the goddamn subtitles off, so I can forget all the terrible stuff the translator put into this game.

If you don't like bad translations, chances are you shouldn't play GS5. The english translation to that game is FILLED with Typos. I don't think there's a single chapter of any case that doesn't contain at least one. It's like they didn't even proofread it before they released it! I could understand one or two typos here and there, but there are more typos than a 5th grader's fan fiction.

Ummm, can we get verification on this, I did not see any, but I could also be stupid and not know how to spell myself (or just read it too fast of it to matter to me).

Are we talking about the English version here? I understand that there are a few more typos than normal in this game, but that is an extreme exaggeration. "At least one typo per chapter" isn't nearly as bad as you are making it seem when there is A LOT of text per chapter. I'm sure a lot of people didn't even notice it that much.

I spotted some typos, but I think comparing it to a fifth grader's fan fiction is exaggerating. Speaking of typos, you forgot to capitalize English.

It's not the fact that Typos bother me, it bothers me when the game's translation is too far from what is originally being said. The meaning of the original words gets lost and I can understand when people look at LR's English version and say "Wow this story looks shit" because, quite frankly, I myself think that the translation is mediocre at best. The Japanese version wasn't nearly as cheesy or annoying to listen to, because the words were different in meaning (no, this is not a way to say the meaning is different cause it's Japanese, but because the meaning, even translated would be different)

I love reading manuals for games, it was nostalgic in a way, you'd read it on the way back from the shop anticipating to play it and try and learn as much about the characters and story as possible on the way home.

You mean like the Hetalia dub. They took a light heart comedy and they gave the VAs free range to say what ever they want, and it ruins what innocence it had. Here are the first episodes in both sub and dub format, just to see what I am talking about.

I need a break from coloring this... Okay, Square... what the hell? If you make a contest for fans to draw their customized version of Light and a garb for Lightning Returns, do not give us a stupid format to draw it in. 2000x550 pixels? You can't see the details of the outfit you draw since you have to make it so small that it fits vertically on that damn thing. Sideways, you can't see the outfit properly, but you can see details... on the parts that can be seen on the damn format!

Why am I even bothering coloring this, I'm sure I won't win...

See it as a challenge, not a problem.

Though the amount I've heard about Lightning and outfits lately it's beginning to lend credibility to that fake story about people buying it as a dress-up sim.

I've heard she also straight-up pole dances around environmental obstacles for no real reason.

Far as I know, the contest entries that win will simply be used on dA to advertise the game, not actually be put into the game.

Honey, what I've seen of pole dancing, it involves having the pole between your legs. Light slides down, with both her legs next to it, there's nothing in there that looks like actual poledancing. So no, people who say that are the same morons who say that LR consists of nothing but revealing outfits: which is not true, I can name 10 off the top of my head that do not show any or very little amount of skin.

Loyal Servant, Velvet Bouncer, Black Mage, Duelist, majority of the long evening dresses (Midnight Mauve, Golden Champagne) which may give a peek at her back but not much else, Vengeance, Soldier of Peace, Red Mage, Quiet Rebellion, Cyber Jumpsuit. Ten outfits, yes I'm counting the evening dresses as one, and barely any of them show very much skin. Several of them cover her up except her head.
