Mikael grunted out of instinct, averting his gaze from the gruesome sight for a moment. He knew he'd have to see it several more times as it was being examined. With sadness in his voice, he responded to the scene of untimely demise by saying, to nobody in particular, "Fifteen students remain. Bud Lau was the Ultimate Senator. Youngest person to ever be elected. He wanted to leave an impact on his country, but his first term ended way too soon . . . leaving him all washed up. And the one who caused this to happen is . . . one of the remaining student body? W-Why . . . ? No, before we ask why, we need to figure out who, right? And with what, how, when, where, and then why."

Cain squeezed the bridge of his nose and began to speak.

"Before the body discovery announcement, I was in Ohishi's haiku cottage with Ohishi and Colin, as well as Constantine. We remained there while Ohishi wrote haiku's when we heard a man's scream. I went outside with Ohishi and Colin, and I heard a third person run past us. I do not know who it was, I was not aware that they were nearby until they scurried passed. Ohishi called out Chisami but the person did not respond. Ohishi then said that the person could maybe have been Maribelle, but she wasn't sure - they looked like both Maribelle and Chisami. Colin seemed confused as well."

Cain shrugged. "I would have no way of knowing who it was anyway, without hearing their voice or if they had a distinct odour. We then heard the discovery announcement and joined everyone on the beach."

Chisami tilted her head. "You...saw me? Well, never mind a bout that. I suppose I should tell you my alibi. I.... was to meet with Bud in my Research Centre at 2 PM.. Of course, I..." Chisami stuttered as tears fell from her face. "I...was planning to kill him there. I was to knock him out and give him my own blood, which is incompatible with his. Then I was to drag his corpse using a disguise potion I had taken from...Warren's Research Centre."

Chisami stopped to wipe her tears away, and then continued. "But I swear! I never managed to see him, let alone inject him! Right before 2 PM, someone knocked me out. I...I couldn't see their face. Then...I was in the storage room. Simon had managed to find me. And then he told me about the body and...." Chisami sniffled. "But I swear, I'm telling the truth! I never...I never..." She stopped to cry some more, leaving time for others to react.

"We... get a file?" Aria asked, frowning. "How... how..." She shook her head and stopped, deciding not to try to understand what was up with Monokuma.
