I suppose if there are no formal win-conditions, motives might make sense to make our characters do things. In the games there could only be one blackened, as only one person was personally responsible for the murder. The assistant wouldn't benefit from it at all, unless they had strange personal reasons for it, which I guess is possible when there are no formal win-cons. |

I mean, the assistant could potentially confess to the murder and get away with it since they would know how it worked. Then everyone would vote for them, and since they technically only assisted in killing them an innocent person would die in their stead. |

In the case of a false accusation, the fake blackened doesn't necessarily die, right? They'd only die if the random execution targeted them? |

Right. This is to prevent abusing the class trial to get rid of a player who just causes trouble Though maybe I can make it so the accused is put in the RNG one more time. Hmm |

If we struggle with gaining more participants, maybe we could allow some people to have two characters? It would alleviate some of the fear of being the first killed… |

I'd sooner start the game with the extra 5 just being NPCs whose sole purpose is to get killed for class trials. Not as preferable as getting at least 4 more though |

Trust me, I'm itching to start more than anyone. I just posted the game to a mafia community I used to be a part of (not that active now though) so we'll see if that grabs anyone. Then SC can recruit And if all that fails, I'll post it on the danganronpa subreddit. I think that'll definitely fill any remaining slots, but I'm avoiding it for now since I'd rather ask people who will have an active presence in the game first, rather than random people who I have no way of knowing whether or not they'll participate or go cold So all that said, I'd expect the game will probably start Friday |

At the very least, if anyone goes inactive they can be treated the same as the hypothetical NPCs you mentioned. I should warn you in advance that I will be quite busy over the next 2 weeks. Not so busy that I can't post at least daily, but it will affect my activity somewhat. Relevant if we do manage to start by Friday. |

Actually, work's also started for me now, so I won't have the same amount of time I had for NG5 (which was pretty lucky considering my schedule). But I will still be able to post daily. I can promise that much. Gosh, so many murder methods. Which one should I do? Hm... |

That's fine. I'm not really going to be a stickler for activity even though the rules might seem to suggest otherwise (just thought that'd be a good way to at least reward the people who're participating more). As long as you don't lay an egg or disappear from the game completely then you're good. Getting put into the executee/victim RNG more than others for inactivity reasons is pretty hard. Not participating as much as everybody else won't be seen as inactivity: inactivity will be seen as inactivity |

Unfortunate, but real-life comes first. Good luck on your dissertation @KamiPanda possibly, yeah. I was actually thinking that if a replacement was ever needed in a game then it'd be really easy to do so. The replacement doesn't even need to be the same character as it can just be justified with saying that the old student has been replaced with this new transfer student |
