"I remain calm because I force myself to be." Keri replied simply. "I am sorry that it is not likely the answer you sought, I recognise it is a solution that does not work for a majority of people. But you do bring up a good point. It has been mentioned before, of course, but perhaps there is real merit in enacting some security to try and prevent James and indeed others from performing any rash actions. I had hoped everyone could hold out long enough that it would not be a worry but I cannot account for the psyche of other individuals. Even should James have struck that deal with me there is no guarantee he will stand by his side of the bargain once the pressure is on."

Many of them woke up around 6:00 A.M. Fortunately, it seemed that nothing had happened during the night. They quickly checked the amount of time left on the tablets they had received. Of course, it read 2:00... and it continued to count down.

Upon hearing Koichi, he turns to him and says "...is there even anything to decide? I think there is only one clear answer to all of it, if the situation doesn't change soon."
He doesn't say more than that, though, and instead he walks around the room occasionally looking towards the door, as if he was waiting for someone to arrive.

If there is any semblance of a plan we have, as much as it hurts me to say this, it is the plan that involves a sacrifice. Unfortunately, it is not like we could take over the blimp either." Irene crosses her arms. "I suppose it could be possible if we are irreplaceable, but it is a distant hope."

The countdown had ended.
Quickly the screen flickers and shows a single feed of a humble suburban home. Though everyone recognized it as one of the many houses they had seen earlier, there were no particularly distinguishing features about it.
BOOM
The door and walls explode outward, fiery bits of rubble getting everywhere. Melted furniture sprawls out across the lawn, black soot already coating the insides. A small river of tarry liquid seeps from the shattered remains of the home, turning the once verdant lawn inky black. Anyone in it must have had their skin vaporized.
Many regret their decision to have seen it. Any doubts regarding the veracity of Otto’s threats go up in smoke.
Suddenly, the timer starts up again at 24:00, as if the gruesome explosion hadn’t even happened. Everyone’s thoughts were the same: next time, two bombs would go off.
