"Do you suppose it's possible Harley's killer simply... removed the entire door?" Verrier suggested. "Or they deconstructed it enough to remove the window pane, and later added it back. Something along those lines. It's something Harley himself would have been capable of, I'm sure, so perhaps someone else could also do such a thing."

"...I'm... not sure..." Mia finally mumbled, recovering from her shock a little. "Do you mean taking the window out while... while the door was closed?"

Jolina stands head slouched while the conversation is going on, having been listed as a possible suspect seems to have unnerved her along with the murder of her boss. Occasionally she can be heard slightly murmuring something along the lines of "It can't be me..." or "I was resting in my quarters."

"Something like that. I don't know all that much about cars," Verrier admitted. "After being involved in a terrible accident as a child, I never really wanted anything to do with them since. Therefore I don't really know how viable my theory is, but it could explain how the 'closed room' was set up. Take the door off its hinges, or take the window off, or whatever, and you can put the key inside before reattaching it."

He thought for a little longer, before adding, "I suppose this wouldn't bring us any closer to who did it though, which is all that really matters. Our goal here is to protect ourselves from this serial killer, not to 'solve' these cases."

"Mm..." she hummed in response, avoiding what was probably the sensitive subject of Verrier's accident. "I'm not sure if it's really possible to do that while the door's closed... but I'm not an expert either...

"Um, a-as for who..." Mia continued timidly while wringing her hands, "I can only really vouch for Ingrid... and myself, for what that's worth. I was with her for most of the night..."

"And I can vouch for Mia. Though aside from that, I think we're stalled on both the how and the who for now..." Ingrid sighed. "If you want protection though, we could go take the guns Heinrich mentioned."

"I'd rather not..." Mia clicked her tongue nervously. "...b-but it's probably better than leaving them where anyone could take them... Um, there's four, right? So... should we split into four groups and give one to each? It'd be easier to keep track of them and each other that way..."

"And I do hope you're not planning to take one of those guns for yourself? You having the key to the cellar in your box makes you... An unsafe candidate to say the least." Jolina calmly states, having quickly regained her composure at what she sees as a chance to accuse someone else.

"H-hey, what do you mean?" Mia uncharacteristically snapped. "Ingrid didn't do anything!"

Her face suddenly flushed with embarrassment at her outburst; she took a couple quick breaths to try to calm herself before continuing. "I-I mean... um... nobody knew she had the key until she went to unlock the cellar, right? Why would she do that if she was guilty?"

“Better for us to find it that way than for us to find it by searching her...Not that I think Ingrid had anything to do with this,” Fritz added unconvincingly.

"I would like to go investigate the car as thouroughly as I can, if someone who you all feel comfortable having a gun wants to keep an eye on me I will wait. I'd say Meta seems on the safer side, and if not Ingrid then Mia? And the Detektiv?" Lynde said, eyes darting between the door and the clearly upset Juna. He eventually went to her side to try and soothe her anger.

"I am glad you asked." Jolina turns to face Mia and points a finger at her. "Ingrid would claim that the box could've been swapped during the night or something like that since she couldn't see everything after all. With this she is trying to set up me and Juna as the likely candidates since we both have master keys to most of the rooms. BUT" Jolina does a playful shrugging motion.

"She would then claim you, Miss Mia, as an alibi even though by her own admission there would've been times when you couldn't watch each other during the night since the box apparently could've been swapped. Quite curious if you ask me." Jolina appears very confident after finishing her explanation.

"It is true. I am suspicious." Ingrid answered. "So is everyone in this room though. Without a clear theory for Harley or father's death, we are all suspects. So, we're all equally dangerous choices to hold guns."

"... Still, the one person in this island that I trust is Mia. I'd much prefer if she or myself had a gun, for protection."

"The boxes being swapped and one of us getting up in the middle of the night are two very different things." Ingrid countered. "... Besides, I slept far less than Mia. Maybe I could've snuck out, but I know she couldn't. End of story."

"Huh?" Jolina looks confused. "You do know anyone could also be responsible for Julia's murder as well do you? As for your alibi, I apologize. Heat of the moment and all that."

"I'd be happy to accompany you to the car Mr. Lynde! I've got my service pistol, but I keep it locked up while I sleep." the detektive said, producing a bright red gun lock from his mysterious case of mystery. "It feeds through the receiver and barrel like this, see? I need to head back to the crime scene anyway, I didn't get to take as many notes as I'd like."

"Could it truly be any of us, though?" Agnes asks the room, looking down at her feet. "I believe Sir Detective would be unfamiliar with how our home is set up. Much less how he got into the Wine Cellar and locked it again. This doesn't truly eliminate him from suspicion, but I believe his late arrival was fortuitous."

Agnes looked up again, and glanced at everyone individually. "If we can find someone who is 'safe' then that makes it all the easier to determine whoever is 'unsafe' so to speak." She then locked eyes with Christof. "If the Sir Detective here can be proven to us that he is likely to be innocent of any crimes, we can rally behind him. Though this would also likely paint a target on his head, if... if one of us is really a killer. ...Or maybe there's several..."

Despite trying to tackle the situation as seriously as she could, Agnes seemed to still struggle keeping calm and focused. The death of Julia hit her far harder than anything else this night...

"...Regardless, I believe our best course of action is to remain together. No killer can take us all on. The sheep outnumber the wolves. I refuse to believe this room has more wolves than sheep."

Meta takes a backseat during the discussion, sticking more so to the little gathering by Raphael/Mia crowd. She only adds in a brief, “Well, if the guns will be a comfort, I can’t object.”

“Oh, I can head out to the car again as well, but I feel like we saw everything that was there. Maybe it will give us another chance to notice if something is missing.”

She listens intently to Agnes, her ears almost twitching, “Well, I agree that the Detectiv is not so suspicious, but we all have our own people we truly trust and he’s unlikely to be told everything.”

"I-I don't know if giving people guns will do anything more than escalate the situation at this point", Edna remarked. "...But if we were to entrust them all to somebody, the good Detektiv would be the best choice out of everyone here. He's the closest thing we have to an unbiased party here, after all... Anyone else would be risky, I s-suppose." She spoke softly.

"I don't suppose I'd be trusted with one of the guns," Verrier said. It was more a statement of fact than a suggestion. "Then again, I hope you can see I'm the least likely person here to have done anything to Albrecht, so perhaps that could sway you?

"As for the murders... do you suppose it's possible someone planted a fake key in the car?" he then suggested. "Perhaps one of the keys to the other cars Gideon had? Then during the confusion of our discovery of the body, they swapped it out for the real key which they'd kept in their pocket."

Lynde nodded. "This seems a promising route for the locked car in my opinion. We should all probably turn out our pockets right now. I still want to look at the car for signs of mechanical tampering, but first a pocket turn out would make sense while we are all together and not much time has elapsed."

Lynde immediately turned out his pockets. With the most interesting thing being a very small multitool.

"I'll happily clear my name, Miss Agnes. It is my duty as an officer of the law to find the truth! For one, I have no motive for these killings. I'm only here on the island to investigate Mr. Friedrich's involvement in a hit-and-run incident. I had never met Ms. Julia or Mr. Harley prior to yesterday, and I certainly wouldn't have any reason to kill them! What's more, I had no knowledge of the wine cellar prior to the discovery of Ms. Julia's body, and I didn't have an opportunity to sabotage the brake lines of the car, much less the mechanical ability to do so. Does this explanation satisfy everyone?"

"I agree, perhaps quickly searching our pockets would be wise. On the other hand, the culprit could've just as easily dropped it in the snow, or stashed it somewhere in the room here." the detektiv said, as he turned out his pajama pockets, revealing nothing but his badge and notepad. "You're welcome to rummage through my case if you'd like," he said, holding the case out to the group in offering, "but it could take awhile, and I assure you there's no fake keys in there!"

"Indeed, if my theory is true, or if the killer had any other incriminating item, they'll have hidden it by now," Verrier said. Even still, he emptied out his pockets as asked. Apparently he was in the habit of carrying around a packet of mints.

As she was once again wearing her nightgown, she didn't have any pockets to turn out.

"Good point, Miss Mia! If the key wasn't in the ignition, then Mr. Harley must've been killed after the car crashed-- or at least the killer returned to the car after the crashed. Perhaps the crash was staged, and the killer removed whatever he-- er, they, used to hold down the pedal." he said, casting a suspicious glance at Fritz before catching himself.

Nobody seems to have anything suspicious or out of place in their pockets but if you wanna note any quirky item you’d character has be my guest.

[Also the damage on the car wasn’t significant, it could’ve been pushed and rolled into the rock. The key was found on the passenger seat but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t have ever been in the ignition]

Another investigation of the car doesn't reveal much of use. The Benz is a standard car and doesn't have a convertible hood or a sunroof or anything. The only difference this seems to have from a standard closed room is that it's mobile. It also only has the one key, but it doesn't rule out that Fritz could've thrown it in.

Next everyone heads into the workroom to divide up the rifles. They go to Erik, Mia, Jolina, and Lynde. This satisfies all 'factions' (or equally unsatisfies) and all claim to have had some experience with hunting, but it's dubious how true it is for some of them.

Beneath the guns is a crate of something else. Heinrich recognizes it as having used to belong to Albrecht, that Gideon never threw out. It is... several bricks of C4. The group closes the crate, feeling uneasy.

"Alright, that's the trigger son," Fritz said, pointing at Erik's gun. "When you press it the gun will fire, so be sure you know where you're pointing it. You can look down the sights on the top to improve your aim. And as for the safety..."

Fritz continued explaining the gun to Erik, rather he knew how to use it already or not.

Heinrich was a bit disappointed by the fact that he didn't get a gun but unsurprisingly he didn't voice his feelings. "Can we do anything about these explosives?" he faced the family with a concerned expression on his face, "Unfortunately, we can't get rid of them for now. However, with a killer on the loose, I don't think it would be best to make them so easily accessible."

"Well, the easiest way to get rid of a whole bunch of C4 is to detonate it all at once!" Fritz elucidated, grinning manically. "I'm sure if we did it in the undeveloped area, we'd be safe. Besides, with that detective around, the stuff will probably go off soon whether we're prepared or not!"

"And then detonate it?" Fritz said, his brow furrowed in confusion. "That could work, though I'm worried we'd cause some sort of tidal wave. That might still be safer though, as long as we do it on a shore away from the house. I'll just have to film it on a waterproof camera."

Jolina appears very satisfied that she has been entrusted with one of the guns. For the time being, she's placed it to her side, barrel pointing toward the ceiling. "Getting rid of the explosives in the water is probably the safest. As for detonating it, is there any sort of device or thing of that nature with the explosives? It'd probably be for the best if we found out if there was anything like that sooner rather than later."

"Let's throw it in the water and not detonate it, Friedrich." Ingrid sighed. "At the very least, I don't think our killer would use this anyways. You can't make a closed room by blowing it up."

Meta, unfazed by the explosives, does her best to stay warm in the back of the room, watching the others go through the crates. "If it would make everyone feel better, I don't see the harm in dumping the explosives. After all, what else are we going to do in such a situation? Play more board games?"
