Adriana’s head snaps back against the wall, blood splattering like a portrait behind her.

It wasn’t cinematic. One second she was alive, the next she was slumped against the wall, sliding to the ground. Gone.

Her hand was still clutched in a vice grip around the vaccine.

Albert examined the vaccine closely to the ground. Seemed to be intact with the cap still on.

“Drop it.” Teddy pointed the gun right at him.

Albert dropped it the short distance to the floor.

“Alright, now step away from the vaccine.”

Looking Teddy in the eye, he steps onto the vaccine, shattering it into pieces.

"Whoops, would you look at that? Tough shit, man." He laughs maniacally. "You thought I'd let you have it that easily? As if! We both know you're only in it for yourself. Now enjoy the fruits of your labour...asshole."

And with that, Teddy immediately returned to the task at hand.

"Helios, check the secret compartment in Adriana's purse. Make sure it really is pepper spray. Midge. Put your knife on the floor and stand on it. Both feet," he ordered.

Gun still in one hand, he then went over to Ghost's corpse and started trying to feel the body through the suit with his other. He was trying to see if he could get a feel for anything about the body in the suit--height, weight, build, gender--anything.

Helios just stared at Adriana. It seemed like he was processing the events in front of him, and it was unclear how he was going to react.

Violet took the initiative and walked up to the purse instead, feeling around for some time. "I-It's pepper spray, T-Teddy." She stammered, eyes shifting between the gun and Adriana.

Emma pressed her watch. "I hope you have something at this point. Given that there's...two minutes left."

Teddy bolts up with a seemingly renewed burst of energy. He quickly strides over to the table, grabs the corpse... and with a mighty heave, slides it off the table and onto the floor, sending food and plates flying.

"Midge. Put it back. ...Please." He's being short with Midge... but it seems to be more the result of the time pressure than personal animus, like with Adriana and Albert.

Albert's eyes widened as he began to choke. Blood pooled out of his mouth and his eyes became listless. Slowly, he began to laugh--a dark laugh that filled the room. Midge twisted the knife again, shutting him up.

He fell to the ground. A puppet with his strings cut....he died.

Helios had just been staring in horror at Adriana’s corpse, possibly on the verge of tears, but Midge stabbing Albert seemed to bring him back to the present. He whirled around, staring at the others in fear.

“Wh-What the hell are you doing?!” The confident grin was gone from his face and his voice seemed to flunctuate wildly. “What was the point of any of this?! You’ve declared yourselves judge, jury, and executioner for charges you’ve barely explained!”

“First, you pointlessly kill my…my…” Helios paused for a moment. “My campaign manager and waste the only vaccine we have left, and then you just randomly stab Albert when he points out how messed up you’ve been acting! I mean sure, he was a twisted sack of shit but you’re all hardly acting any better. I can’t even tell what you’re trying to accomplish anymore!”

“Three people are dead, you know!” Helios shouted, “Does anyone else even give a damn?!”

A lone canister of gas fell on the floor. Everybody lifted the top of their shirts up to cover their nose. Except for Violet...she ran towards Ghost. Prying at his mask.

“What the hell are you doing-?!” Helios yelled, pulling Violet away.

“Don’t touch me!” Violet snapped, Helios immediately recoiling and putting his hands up in defense.

The shirts didn’t help...the prepared group was able to last a little longer but soon each person began to slowly doze…

Teddy immediately had his gun pointed on Midge.

"Knife. S-Slide it over." Teddy seemed to be able to remain calm and in control of himself in round 1, but it looked like he might finally be reaching his limits.

The muzzle of the gun was still steady, however.

As eyes quickly darted around the room...they were able to immediately notice some differences.

For one, the fireplace was out.

The majority food on the table had fallen off, presumably when the tablecloth was ripped to drape the bodies. And of course Adriana's body had been moved.

Where Adriana's body was...there was a lone pair of shoes. They were Violet's...

Albert's and Ghost's bodies are where they were left.

"Great. That's just perfect," Helios said, trying to take deep breaths. "While we're standing around killing each other, this creep's job is getting easier and easier! And look, now he's just screwing with us. Maybe now's a good time to start actually trying."

Glancing at Teddy and Midge cautiously, he started walking around the room, looking for where Violet could have gone. He made sure to check the extinguished fireplace, trying to see if there was a passage hidden there.

Midge staggers about, noticeably dazed. Tears run down her face as her breathing slows. She stares at Emma incredulously, her hands shaking.

"Th-this is too cruel... I couldn't even do anything to protect us... What the hell is wrong with me..."

She looks at Teddy with venom.

"I think we can solve this, but it doesn't seem like you're very good at solving it on your own so far, does it?"

She despondently slides the knife to him.

The wound on Emma's neck is very small. It looks like it could be from a pen stabbed in a very precise location.

A few minutes later Bradley returned, having added a fresh layer of soot to his layers of dirt. With a couple of coughs Bradley spoke "It's...there's a hatch...its locked." He looked at the gun in Teddy's hands "Perhaps...that might...break the lock...." He murmured quietly.

The filter has been ripped off. It wouldn't be operational but its structure could possibly lower the intake of the gas, if only temporarily.
