"Now this really takes me back, lemme tell ya! My daughter made this one for me on my birthday! This was some years back 'n all. What was it she said again? 'Look, pops! Teeth on a wire, I made a necklace for you, just you and I!' Ah, what a sweet lil' girl... This holds some good memories to me, but I don't mind sellin' it off. It doesn't even fit me anymore! And it has this nice, naturalistic feel to it, y'know? So that'd be about... thirty-five dollars, since I'm feelin' generous."

Evidently, it did not fit, as it broke as he was putting it around his neck. The teeth on it fell down to the floor, scattering all over the place.
Max didn't say anything at all and just hoped nobody noticed as he instead went over to the truth or dare gang to see what was going on.

It's pretty clear Luke was expecting way more, since he just stares at Ryleigh for a few seconds. "Huh. I guess that fits the bill of 'gently'." He rubs his cheek, as if he didn't believe that he actually got 'slapped'. Luke then turns to Afroman with his hand still on his cheek and ponders for a bit. "Mmmm... Aw, fuck. Do I really have to?" It seems a sudden realization just hit him.
He sighs and drops his arms. "Okay, fine! Look... I asked a girl out in my first year of high school and I had the excellent idea of doing it in front of my entire class. So she stared at me like I was fuckin' crazy or something. Then she just said 'no' and the entire class laughed at me. And that'd be fine by itself if I didn't just scream and run out like a dumbass. Not only did I get detention, I also got fucked over by half the school for half a year." He groans and sips from his mug of ale. "I didn't like remembering that. God, I was such a dumbass."
