Unfortunately the Chinese onomatopoeia for a cat's meow (miāo) does not sound even remotely like the Korean one (ya-ong), so the explanation made even less sense.

Mei opened her mouth after a long pause as if to interject, but then stops in utter disbelief as Mao questions her a bit more. At the end of that, she mutters a "What the fuck...?".

The group gathers in the entrance hall. A while later, Amethyst emerges. She goes to approach them, but she doesn’t look particularly pleased.
“I’m afraid I’m no closer to turning off that gate,” Amethyst says, “I found some other information though. First of all, that bomb. It’s real, and it packs quite a punch. Easily enough to destroy that entire playroom. Probably not the rest of the building, but I’m still not sure detonating it is a good idea.”
“So it wasn’t just a fake?” Juanli asked, “Cat really tried…to blow up my son?”
“And the rest of us in Suyin’s group too, if we’d gotten betrayed,” Mao adds.
“Even if we know that Amethyst created Yang, that doesn’t mean Cat’s player isn’t among us still,” Amandi adds, “In fact, it makes it seem even more likely. Yang’s earlier message could have been meant to distract us by turning our attention to Cat’s creator rather than the one who repurposed it.”
“In that case, I bet they’re still here too,” Juanli says, “They don’t need to escape, since they have control over the game. In fact, they probably wanted to stay to make sure their twisted game continues!”
“That’s definitely possible,” Amethyst replies, “Yang keeps a record of interactions with its interface, like our responses to the Wood Battle puzzles and the like. I didn’t notice anyone attempting to do interfere with Yang’s programming remotely, so they likely did all their work here.”
“Wait, you know how people voted during the Wood Battle?” Juanli asks.
“Err…well, yes. But I’m not sure it’s worth mentioning.”
“If Cat’s here, they probably would have chosen to betray us!” Juanli shouts, “If you know something, it’s certainly worth discussing.”
“I really don’t—”
“Either you tell me, or I’ll go have a look myself!”
Amethyst sighs and turns away from her.
“Okay, fine. Fujisaki betrayed. That’s it. Happy?”
As Amethyst walks back to the server room, Juanli turns and points a finger at Fujisaki.
“I knew it,” she shouts, “I knew you went against our plan!”
The man eyes her warily and backs away.
“Okay, perhaps I did. Does it really matter now?” he asks.
“You scorched my sister, then you tried to kill her and my son…and I bet you’re the reason we’re all locked up in the first place!” she shouts, “I’ll give you what you deserve!”
She grabs the sledgehammer from where Amethyst had left it and runs toward him, swinging it wide. Fujisaki leaps out of the way, but when the hammer slams down on the floor he lets out a scream like he was struck in the jaw.
“Look, can we all just calm down?” Taikong says pleadingly, stepping over to grab the hammer from Juanli.
Fujisaki doesn’t respond. He keeps staring at the floor, draconic rage forming on his face.
“Y-You monster!” he shouts, “Look at what you’ve done! She had nothing to do with any of this!”
Silence falls across the room as everyone stares dumbfounded at Fujisaki.
“But…she didn’t do anything,” Mei mumbles.
“Weren’t you watching? She killed her! She fucking killed her!” he roars, “And don’t try to tell me you can’t see her body!”
The group looks at the ground where the hammer had been lying. Just a bunch of clean tiles—
A woman in green lay on the floor, blood streaking from her head like petals on a flower—
They didn’t see anything there at all.

He slowly pulled himself away, picking the hammer up without a sound. Fujisaki couldn’t notice him, in a far away place. Mao raised the hammer over his shoulder, then taking a silent breath...
Swung it down.
There was a loud CRACK as it impacted his head, but Mao deliberately didn’t use all his strength, intending to only render the man unconscious.
