Thanks for the info, cesar.

I suspect Round 6 will be the final round of the game, so I don't think you actually gave anything up.

EDIT: Since this is the first post of a new page...

Make sure you go and read the end of the previous page, to ensure you haven't missed any posts.

Considering the importance of this conversation, you shouldn't miss a post just because of the unfortunate timing of a new page.

I guess you can't really, and I knew that when I claimed, but here's a thought: If BP was really the esper, why didn't he claim to be the esper earlier instead of just making encrypted messages? Because he didn't know what the real esper's power was. Maybe it was a role-check like a detective. Maybe it didn't exist at all. We weren't told the specifics of the roles at the start of the game; we didn't even know for sure there was a serial killer until I got the luminol.

("The" esper? *groan* not you too...)
Are you suggesting that I made the encrypted messages just to fakeclaim esper? Because then you have it backwards. If I was Zero and wanted to fakeclaim esper but didn't know what esper actually did, I would make a hidden message saying I'm an esper, and then substantiate it with knowledge about items after you claimed, rather than first providing information about items and then...

Actually I'm suggesting you didn't want to claim a "power" at all. I forgot to mention this when I was cut-pasting all the quote boxes, but Lida suggested you had an item list. That kind of idea would have been fine since it'd explain why you knew what the items were and meant you got to hide the neostigmine at the same time.

You didn't expect there to be a second player that knew what was behind the numbered doors, though.

-cut- Cesar, name of your role? I doubt it's just "something like an esper."

What am I supposed to say to "you're lying because I have a power and I say so?" Do you have any way to prove you're right?

Technically Espers have been shown to have different degrees of powers. I wouldn't be surprised if they could have a "knows the items" esper and a "knows the roles" esper.

Still damn Cesar way to drop the bomb, and also out me.

Yes I'm a Mirror, it's not too dramatic though.
I'm basically Vanilla until it comes to the time of the AB vote. Then I can use my power to copy whatever is voted against me. It's essentially a surefire defence. If they betray I betray, if they ally I ally.

I can't use the power twice in a row though.

I had a mind to use it to trap Zero in the last run (or at least uncooperative players). I could detect when someone betrays to get ahead then announce my power which would indicate the other person had violated an "Ally" plan. Zero would be busting to get out and if they could betray during an all ally and win they would. Is my thinking.

Still there we go, we've got four confirmed non-Zero or Bombers.

If we make a team of 2+4+6+8+8(X Bracelet) we can have a Guaranteed No-Zero Team go into Door 9.

(I know I shouldn't be thinking about the door but just for future reference)

I can prove he's right by confirming the "Mirror" role. It's hardly a thing in the games and something of JM's own construction so I doubt Cesar could guess it.

No problem, cesar. I'm assuming you have nothing else of note to say, and you've already given us a massive clue in the hunt for Zero.

I'm... starting to get a bit more suspicious of Franzy, but I'm still not convinced she's Zero.

It's a relief to hear that we can still send a non-Zero team through the door (and it even gives all 3 teams a vote), but I'd still like to hear from the people who haven't gotten a chance to speak much yet. (Lida, Rov, Nego, and Slezak.)

EDIT: Also I want to say that while cesar isn't 'technically' clear, I think we can pretty much treat him as not-Zero, since if he was Zero he wouldn't have any reason at all to clear me. (It'd be possible for Zero to know everyone's roles or for that to be Zero's power or something, but... yeah.)

Well then... Huh.

(I, uh, hope you aren't just being spiteful or something.)

I guess we can just send 2+4+6+8+6 through the door, have whoever gets the gun shoot Franzy, and all-Ally twice in a row?
(btw Pierre, I think you need to set the X bracelet to 6, not 8, for that, so if you can only set it once... be careful ^^")

Sure I'll be absolutely concrete once we have a full team approved.

Though why give up Franzy? I don't get it I can see a million more lies and ways out of this if I was in your situation.

Wow, all of these bomb drops. All of them... Could this be the right timeline? I can't check and I doubt anyone can; I'm just a vanilla participant, but I sort of... idolize the abilities of some of those in the games. We seem to be heading towards a good ending at least. I'm still holding my breath though because one wrong move can shift us right off the true branch.

Interestingly, if the GM of a future Nonary Game could figure out a good way to integrate such a role, that would be pretty neat and pretty crazy.

Of course, no matter how immersive the "many paths" gameplay of the games might be, I'm spoiled by my long-standing realization that, just like any other game, it's all contained in one pre-determined universe. The story's already written. Our incomplete knowledge of it is what really drives us to keep playing.

Do we really need to shoot folks in the face? Can't we simply leave them trapped here forever...with the gun as an option? :sadshoe:

Oh, okay. I see basically the entire game got resolved while I was gone. Anyway, I'm open to the "shoot Franzise" plan or the "have me betray" plan. My only concern is that with the latter it'd be a race between Franzise and BP as to who could send in the PM first, no? So the gun might be the more surefire method.

(Also just for the record got a clarification PM saying that Pierre was right about my abilities being cancelled out. Didn't matter in the long-run though, so *shrug*)

I mean, you can answer that question "yes," in which case there's not much more I can do except say that you're wrong.
I already commented on your points and yes, I believe they do make sense if you are Zero.

You must have missed them because you didn't comment them.

Quote:
Nego has only posted once since Franzy's claim and... I totally missed it. Oops. Well, Nego still hasn't provided their own reads/claim yet. And Nego, if you want me to respond to the points you made in your post, I will.
I have provided my reads throughout the game. You're my prime Zero suspect for your actions, I think Pierre might be the bomber. Everyone else have been mostly flying under the radar. And if we consider that either you or Franzise is Zero, then it's most likely you due to the way the two of you have acted.

I don't have a special role myself and I doubt many more will either. With 9 players I wouldn't be surprised if the roles were just Zero, Bomber, SK, and esper. That's already 4/5 players. And, I've never said you couldn't be an esper as well. I said in my previous posts that I find it highly unlikely that there's two innocent espers.

cesar26100 wrote:
I don't have any other choice,do I?

Alright,: I have the ability to know other player's roles.Basically,I have the power of an esper.

At the beginning of Round 2,I was given the choice to either be able to find out whether a player is a good or bad guy every round or find out their role every even numbered round.I choose the latter.I know the role of two players.

Those are BP and Pierre.

BP is a Esper. That's why I trusted that he wasn't Zero, and why I am so sure that Franzise is.JM told me Pierre was a mirror, but he didn't specify what that power could do.But if it gives him the ability to use other people's powers, which is what his name sounds like, then we're lucky, since,by posting this,I am effectively giving up my role. That's right,my main limitation is that,if I tell people about my powers,I lose them. But that doesn't really matter now, right?

After all,we were sure that either Franzise or Bad Player were lying, and I don't really think there is three people with the same power in this game. And the next question is obvious:

Franzise,it seems like you better come up with a good explanation for this turn of events,or we can consider that this game is over.
Ooh. Okay. I guess everything said in this catch-up post before now has been debunked.

I have to go now. I will have to continue catching up with the thread from the beginning of this page when I return.

To be honest, I didn't think I would be voting for BP's proposal even once this game anymore.

Hey Rov, if you were to blow up Franzise with the bomb, would that do anything to the rest of us? I mean, does it guarantee our safety?

Also, since we cannot be sure that your purpose in this game is not just to blow everyone up, I'd be more inclined to use the gun on Franzise, or just leave her behind while the rest of us escape. Or has the bomber's ulterior motive been revealed yet?
