Hello and welcome to the sign-up thread for Black Fable, a new murder mystery forum game based on Town of Salem (which is a game based on the campfire game Mafia).
Thirteen random people have just moved in to the newly founded town of Moonview nestled in the eerie and mysterious Woeful Woods that few people have dared to explore, despite the rumors of the land being home to ancient treasures, mythical items as well magical herbs and ingredients. Your characters are the first to brave into this land and build a home for themselves there, despite the warnings of a sinister force lurking in those parts. The Coven, a faction of dark magic users and supernatural beings, don't take too kindly to supposed tresspassers and pilferers, and have decided to disguise themselves as fellow explorers as a means to efficiently exterminate the townspeople one by one and reclaim the land they deem theirs. It is up to the Townies to find out and lynch whoever among them is a member of the Coven before they're quickly outnumbered.

Your character's actions will be recorded and sent to you in your personal QuickTopic, so make sure to check it during the night-time killing phases. You may also communicate with me on Discord (@TheLetterF#9040) to ask any questions or send in your plans in advance so that I can record them in time (keep in mind that you can change your mind at any point before the end of the killing phase). Please make sure to play fairly, as gamethrowing or cheating are strictly forbidden and just generally ruin the fun for everyone. So basically don't reveal anything you're not supposed to, post screenshots of your QuickTopic, etc,
If you're interested, please sign up here and fill out the form, which includes a very short writing prompt. Once you're accepted, you will receive your role and then design your character.
Try to already think of what your character's motives/intentions could be (i.e why they decided to move to the town), be they a Townie or a Coven member.
This game will require the participation of everyone, so please remain active throughout it. Also bear in mind that there is a chance that death might not be the end for your character, so please try to pay at least some attention to the game even after you die.
The expected duration of Black Fable is approximately 3 weeks, so it is relatively shorter than the Danganronpa F and Nonary Games that have already taken place on this board.
