"Yes indeed." Linda replied. ''She had a recipt in her bag from when she went drinking with Bobby, indicating when she went to the bar. Your Honor, I'd like to submit the recipt as evidence."

"Even the testimony of Bobby states that he dropped Catherine off at around midnight and then seeing the defendant escorting the victim inside. That places him at the crime scene."

Linda gasped and began scratching the back of her neck. "Well, you see, he was exceptionally intoxicated, but he could have still saw the defendant..."

"well Detective you just said something kinda strange........if anyone has studied health before there is one side effect of alcohol that contradicts her...." he says.

He slams his hands on the desk

"AND THAT LADIES AND GENTS IS SOMETHING WE CALL BLURRED VISION!!" Jett yelled.

He smiles

"Now Detective....if Booby was intoxicated maybe he had blurry vision.......HE COULDN'T SEE EXACTLY WHO IT WAS THAT DROPPED OUR VICTIM OFF AT HER HOUSE!!!" Jett said.

"It's a perfectly understandable explanation." said Sebastian, being able to maintain his cool, "However, there are are other ways to identify a person than sight. Perhaps, Mr. Peters, Mr. Hereford heard the two holding a conversation, thus hearing his voice! It's easy for one to think they saw somebody after voice recognition, isn't it?" Sebastian asked.

Linda scoffed at the attorney at the bench. "Yes, indeed it is! Perfectly reasonable, Mr.Prosecutor." she said, looking at him. He does radiate power...

"Well, that seems a possibility. You don't need to look at someone to know who they are. Well, Mr. Peters, are you satisfied with that answer. Is it possible that the witness knew the defendant because of his voice?"

"Yes....." Jett says

Jett smiles and slams his hands down on the desk.

" IF ONLY THEY HAVE EVER MET!!!!" Jett says.

Jett present Bobby's profile

"It says Bobby is the victim's ex......but nothing about ever metting the defendant" Jett says.

Jett slams his hands on the desk.

"If the two never met...... how could he tell who's voice it was!!" Jett said.

"Yes, but he was the only boy at the scene, besides Bobby himself!" Linda scoffed. "I think he should be able to tell the difference between his voice and another man's, hmmm? By the way, refrain from shouting like that, please! We're not like six miles away, you know!"

Jett smiled

"Detective.........You are right that Kenny is young but there is also another witness that is the same age too." Jett said.

Jett slamed his hands on the desk.

Jett presents Evan St. Claire's profile

"You see Your Honor....This man and the defendant are about the same age.....and both know each other......Detective do you have evidence that this man is innocent?" Jett said.

Jett looked serious.

"Was there anything missing from the scene of the crime or the victim's house at all?" Jett asked.

Jett started to smile.

"Here's my question......why would the defendant take his girlfriend's purse......AND NOT HIS CUSTOM-MADE HAT!!!!!!!!?"Jett said.

Jett started to read his papers.

"According to the crime scene report.....it says that Kenny's wallet was missing but his hat remains......I think it's very odd for a criminal to leave a custom hat that will automatically direct the blame to him......" Jett said.

Jett slamed his hands on the desk.

" So explain to me Detective.......why would he take the purse and not the hat?" Jett asked.

A noise sounding like the clearing of a throat came out into the court room.

"Excuse me, Your Honor." Thirty year old Sebastian Best looked up to the judge, not so much as a nervous sweat dotting his forehead. There was something in his face that came off as a tad too confident. When the prosecutor spoke, there was a slight smirk on his face: He had a plan. "The prosecution requests the permission to ask just one more thing of Ms. Connors."

" Thank you, Your Honor." said Sebastian. He then looked over at the female detective on the witness stand, his gaze as cool as ice.
"Ms. Conners." he started, "We have received some new information about these missing objects. Mr. Peters has tried to steer the jury away from the defendant's guilt using said objects. However, I think we're are looking over something...Was there or was there not a witness to have seen the two together that night?" Sebastian was, in all honesty, getting impatient. Hats, Wallets...This was a murder, not a petty theft.

"Very well, then. Although the theft of the victim's wallet was indeed a crime, that is not the reason why court has convened today. Mr. Peters, perhaps we should get back to the murder trial. Let us deal with Mr. Hereford's testimony, shall we?"

Sebastian nodded at the detective. "Thank you, Ms. Conners. You've been of help." Casting his steely glance away for her, it settled on another man who had walked up to the stand. "Please state your name and occupation for the Court." he said, although the tone in his voice made it much more of a demand and a simply task.

"Sure," Bobby said with a sigh.

:testimony:

"Well, I met Catherine at her cabana around 9:00 PM at her cabana."

"We went to a bar. I intended to only have a half-pint of ale, but..."

"I was so stressed from trouble at work that I ordered drink after drink."

"Catherine always makes a habit of drinking tequila before anything else, so that's what she had first."

"She left the bar for a couple of minutes around 11, but she came back before long and returned to her drinking."

"Around midnight, she went home and I followed. I hoped she'd let me sleep at her place since I was too drunk to drive, but she wanted to be alone with her boyfriend."

"She gave me some money for a cab and told me to leave. I got picked up by the police a bit later."
