I second the "to be an annoying old bitch" part.

But shooting a fake ray gun makes her look more of an idiot than a "terrifying" old lady.

Ah well, Oldbag is Oldbag.

Actually, I think she DOES fire SOMETHING from the gun. Recall if you will, her JFA testimony, when she told the court what she was going to do to Adrian Andrews:

:oldbag: I was going to make her eat the damaging beams of my ray gun.
:raygun: Like this!
:udgy: NO! STOP!!!

rofl. But yeah... maybe something DOES fire and we just don't know? I mean, the first time that Oldbag fires at the judge, he says "Oof!" so.....

But yeah, a show called "Everybody hates Oldbag"... I wonder if it could be sometime in the future in the form of an anime show?... since a fanfic or comic about that would get boring pretty fast, no offense to any who tried.

I always thought Oldbag was pretending when she fired her ray gun. And seeing the gullible and "dumb" nature of the judge, I also thought that maybe he was just playing along with Oldbag's game. xD

An anime show would be awesome. ;D

You know what? Concerning an Anime show about Oldbag... I wonder who would be a good voice actor. lol.

Also, I doubt that the judge would play along with Oldbag's act, I mean... well...

Maybe it's just my opinion, but I think he might be the sliiiiiiightest bit afraid of her. lol.

Oh great... does anyone smell a possible new topic? lol.

I think part of what makes the Ace Attorney series so great is not just the storyline, but the continuing storyline. AA is like a wonderful series of books or manga that I just can't wait to complete. The games build upon one another wonderfully, unravelling a fantastic story. That's the difference between AA and other, similar games. Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory are just stand-alone titles for now. Their stories don't go on.

You could almost compare my anticipation for T&T to my anticipation for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. :hobohodo:

In addition to the continuity, there's the characters, the art and the music, in addition to the thrill of figuring something out. :edgy:

I must say what sold me on the series was dusting for fingerprints in 1-5. For some reason that was the most fun thing to do in a videogame ever. And so I cannot wait for GS4 even more! :b33r:

I agree with you! It's the continuing storyline, and I can't wait for T&T/GS4 in the same way I can't wait for a new episode of a show, or whatever. ;)
Great post about Sal, Wrestlemania. His text speak is annoying but also damn hilarious :D

"Nick, what's 'sucksores'?"
"I MAK THE STEEL SAMURAI! N00b! ROFL!"
"I HAV NO TIME FOR THINGS THAT DON'T INTEREST ME. LOL"

Just brilliant.

It's all about never knowing what's coming next and going "OMFGWTFBBQHOLYSHIITEJESUSCHRISTONAMOFUDGINGBIKE!" when it does happen. Anyone can create suspense. It takes a certain kind of talent to build up to that suspense which makes others reel back in shock when the sudden, unexpected drop rears its ugly.

EDIT: Oh, and I didn't find T&T nearly as suspenseful as the first two games. 3-2 gave off that kind of feeling but didn't invoke enough drama into it. Also, the fact that I was spoiled beforehand didn't help either.

What do you mean? :(
I've really been trying not to have T&T spoiled for me. There were superb dramatic moments in both games I've played so far (AA and JFA).

Yeah, I edited my post. I just didn't find it as suspenseful as the first two. I mean...Case 3-3...YOU KNEW WHO THE KILLER WAS RIGHT OFF THE BAT! Part of the fun is trying to figure out who the killer is.

Come on, Capcom. You can do better than that. <_<

I'm on my Nintendo Wii atm, but there's an article wrotten about JFA in Nintendo Power from a while back, a few lines of interest worth quoting. When I'm back on a comp, I'll send some lines, since typing HERE is nothing short of annoying.

I'm amazed no one has yet to comment on Redd. lol.

Thanks! :will: I've been going through my other game series in my collection, and really only AA continues. Series like Final Fantasy or Pokemon are complete, stand-alone titles. That doesn't make them bad, but it makes AA different and stand out.

Pokemon is indeed a Stand-alone title. I'll give ye that most of Final Fantasy are also like that (I'll state that FF X-II COULD be considered a conclusion). But lets be honest. It's much farther than that! Games in the Mario series, Silent Hill, Sonic... they all appear to end with a "The End" finish, while PW makes you scream "THERE BETTER BE ANOTHER ONE!!!" lol. Honestly, I wonder if they would ever.... *shudders*... run out of ideas.

(hears people gasp and scream in horror, and one guy holding up a cross)

Yeah, I agree. The characters grow on you and makes you actually FEEL for them. I don't mind stand-alone titles but if Phoenix Wright was a stand-alone, most likely I would not have much feelings for them.

My favourite part in Phoenix Wright games is that it kinda makes you feel at home. Like when you see Maya and Wright tease each other...it's like teasing your sister or something.

(By the way, I'm new here. Nice to meet everyone!)
