I don't think the image is much of a spoiler, but I've put it in tags to be safe.

The question is does the equivalent image in the Japanese game also contain the blue badger (a.k.a. was this the true first ever reference to the blue badger?)

Wasn't the blue badger sitting on the self in the police office in 1-4 cause if it was, then THAT would be the first reference to the blue badger...

yes, but that was a case made special for the DS release of Ace Attorney. The original GBA game only had up to 1-4.

On the original game on the GBA, it only had 4 cases. When the game was remade and rereleased for the DS, it added case 5: Rise From the Ashes.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

True. But you don't really know about it unless you examine the item. otherwise you just think it's the chief's strange little stuffed toy. Or at least that was what I thought before I examined it.

But was it in 1-4 on the GBA? Capcom did occasionally add a few small things while porting to the DS.

Actually, it was: http://www.court-records.net/Places/GBA ... tation.png

So, I guess they threw in the reference in 1-4 and 2-1 but didn't bother to actually make the Blue Badger have an actual mention until they created case 5.

Yeah, I guess it was kind of an extra and they were looking for stuff to put in case 1-5 and someone said, "Hey, let's use the Blue Badger!"

Well, that screen cap is from GS3 - note the pink badger.

In any case, yes, it was in the Japanese GS1. There was even a shirt with the Blue Badger on it sold for a limited time.

:wacky-edgy: What the hell is that wriglling piece of plywood?!?

I kinda agree with Edgeworth in that the Blue badger's...odd. I certainly wouldn't wear it on a shirt, but then I have a shirt that reads "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate" so I really have no room to talk.
