Playing cards and grapes.

When are they ever used in case 3? I never even remember getting them at all.

EDIT: I think the cards come up when he tells you to pick one? Not sure about Moe's Grapes though.

Well the only playing card reference I can think of is at the beginning of the case when Phoenix and Maya both pick a card (as you guessed). The only grape reference I can think of with Moe is when you go talk to him (I think the first time). He offers them one grape and then makes a joke (if it can be called that) about having "welched" on giving them more than one. They're just brief references. Nothing important.

I don't recall ever actually finding the grapes... Does any one know if it was a "must find" or "must present" in order to progress the game? I may just be really forgetful...

It isn't. There is no evidence that is food-related (apart from the pepper bottle) in 2-3 at all.

The grapes are from when you first meet Moe and he offers you "an organic grape". The grapes aren't evidence, but they show up onscreen in a box. (Kind of like Max's cards.)
