However, the subjective views of a viewer on someone are very, shaky, especially in the case of Adrian and Franziska. As has been said, more silly fan 'mumbo-jumbo' than anything official, which I highly doubt in the first place.
One thing that leaves room for concern is that:
The explanation isn't too strong, but it provides enough information.
I also think that both women are perfectionists and dislike men for obvious reasons, i.e. family trouble/heartbreak, however also mental/psycological weaknesses.
However, I see Adrian more as a feminist, a 'you can make it on your own out there in a world of men' type o' gal, whereas Franziska is definately 'all for the win' and 'do the family name proud' sort of person.
Nether able of much a relationship by any means, but also I doubt either of them are specifically Lesbian. Franziska with the whip is...confusing, but then again, in the PW universe, there are a lot of strange quirks.

The game is focused on many ineuendos* and witty dialogue, however, the difficult thing is how to take certain quotes, the tone and mood have to be interpreted, which is extremely difficult going just off of text (coupled with the limited images used to express such things).
