Lame thing is, it takes so long for the game to reach England from America and they cant even be ased to localise it.

So i guess that makes Americans the oddballs huh? But then again, we are so stupid that we are the only ones without the metric system.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

As far as I know, Japan, the United Kingdom, the ROI, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Malta and a few islands and southern African countries drive on the left, whereas everyone else drives on the right. It's a common misconception that all of Europe drives on the left; it's only the UK and ROI that do.

Presumeably, in the Japanese version they had a US car.

I wouldn't have thought That the English would mind, seeing as thew game seems to be set in th US. After all, we don't call lawyers attornies over here (least I dont think so), and we don't have the death penalty.

Yeah, I always just assumed that it was set in the US. I mean, when have you ever heard of a game set in the UK... *grumble grumble*

Errrr, I think there was one... one time. All the people had British accents, anyway. But the game sucked, so, uh, nevermind.
I believe I heard that the English version is set in California.

That'd fit in the the nine-hour time difference between there and France, I guess.

I remember playing that case and being all "What? But France is one hour... oh yeah."

Come to think of it, I can't think of any games set in the UK. You spend some time in London in Shadow Hearts (and Shadow Hearts II (I think)), but you move all over the place (Paris, the Romanov Palace in Russia...), so I don't think it counts. Most games are set in thier own universe, though.

It's definitely the left-hand side, driver's seats are on the inside of the road, and the driver's seat on an English car is on the right.

Also, in Fruits Basket Volume 5, since Hatori is driving on the left-hand side of the car, it is noted that the car is imported.

This is from a scanlation, but here is the explanation from the official English translation:

left sided steering wheel (meaning he is driving western car steering wheels are typically right like england)

By west it probably implies it's a European or American Car.

As for the notes on lawyers, we don't call them attorneys in the UK, we call them solicitors, I know because my Mum saw one a lot after my grandfather died back in 2000

I sat passenger-side in a car in New Zealand once. It was a bit of a head trip because I wasn't old enough to drive yet, and there I was in what I would consider the "driver's side."

Most countries have the steering wheel on the left.
