I loved the Corered music in PW1, now in JFA they ruined it, it just sounds like a bunch of random bobly beeps, it sucks so bad! I would always look forward to hearing it in the cases, it really gave you a feeling of "HA TAKE THAT! EDGEWORTH" while now it's just like "ha...take...that...heh..."

I don't understand why (almost) everybody seems to hate the JFA Cornered music. I played JFA before AA, and the Cornered theme was my absolute favorite. Even after I've played AA AND listened to GS3's Cornered themes, I still LOVED JFA's along with the other two.

Just as you looked forward to the Cornered theme in AA, -I- looked forward to hearing it in JFA. -It- gave me the feeling that I was kicking ass.

I was at first, but it grew on me, and I think I may like it more than PW1's cornered theme now.

Spoiler: PW3 audiological ponderings
My untrained ear can't tell the difference between the 2001 and 2004 versions of Cornered. Is it the same song with just more cymbal crashses?

I didn't care for the music at first, but it quickly grew on me. The music fits the game much better than the original would, at least to me. Especially against Franziska, the original "cornered" just wouldn't work well.

I personally like the original better, plus it's more reconizable then the newer updated one. Still the same beat, not the same moves. D:

I'm more partial to the Cornered music in PW1, but I love Cornered for PW2 orchestrated! PW1 will always be on top, though.

Hm, it bothered me at first but I got used to it. My biggest problem with the new Cornered theme was that I had grown to associate the PW1 theme with
Spoiler: 1-4 and 1-5 murderers
Smacking a guilty verdict in von Karma and Gant's FACES >DDDD

and in my mind the PW2 theme gets to be associated with
Spoiler: JFA murderers
Trying to prove that Adrian is a murderer, getting a guilty verdict for Acro, Mini, and Wellington.

I like the characters in the latter spoiler tag better than the first, thus the first theme is what stuck with me as the ultimate "TAKE THAT >D" music.

...If that made any sense.

I liked most all of the music, but it never really occurred to me until I heard the Orchestra and Jazz albums. The arrangements were awesome, and now I like the music in the game more.

Well, first of all, i want to say that i think that the GS3 Cornered leaves GS1 & 2 in the dust. Edgy
But as far as the first two games go, I think that the "Cornered" music is all part of the courtroom environment. The music associates itself with the murderers and adds a different tone to each story. That being said, i think i actually like the second games music more... it seems more intense because of all of the melodies weaving in and out of oneanother.

The music isn't bad... it's freaking awesome! It's certainly not PW1 music but it sets a different tone for the trials. Like how the next Cornered is going to do (or, has already done) to PW3. After all, PW2 is a lot darker than PW1 was.

Personally, I love PW2 "Cornered". It's more upbeat and better paced than PW1. It really gives you that feeling of "Oh snap! I we really hit something big here!"

I like all 3. The second one did start out a bit weak for me but it grew on me. It's not as exciting or adrenalin pumping but it has a different flavour. More of a sit back and think carefully feel.

at first, yeah I pretty much was. but the more and more I listened to it (and downloaded it from this very site) I fell in love with it, just like the original one did. still the first cornered theme is the best and I love all the remixes of it.

The GSmeetOrchestra version was awsome :3 But I do feel that the DS version lacks something. So I feel AAcornered>JFAcornered on DS but AAcornered=JFAcornered on the Orchestra album.

Or "I didn't hear such a truth!"

Detective Gumshoe

anyway...I like both actually. I found myself playing that song in my head more than the original nowadays, but I can see the first as more of the theme of Phoenix Wright. Like it would be the one playing if he were a character in Super Smash Brothers.

The second one gives a similar feeling of "ah Ha! caught you!" and seems to pace better for some reason. while the first is like "oh I'm winning!"

I find myself blasting the orchestrated Court Suites in my car Larry They sound so awesome being orchestrated and all! And I feel that JFA's Cornered sounds a lot more dramatic than its DS counterpart (which is why I fell in love with it right away).

Yelling "Objection!" at people on the freeway while a Court Suite plays rocks :B

Honestly, I think each Cornered theme rocks in its own unique way, and even though they sound different, they still unite to kick some criminal ass in every game! Ah, playing Phoenix Wright, like the scent of fresh lemon, you see... :grossburg:

Woah... Topic Revival Activated!

I did mind the Objection theme a bit, but I was more concerned about my beautiful Examination themes..... )=
That was when I first played it, but it grew on to me. After all, it was a new game in the series, so why not new music?

Cornered, I didn't have a problem with specifically in JFA (that was Objection, which just lost it's epicness). My problem was a little more with the tone of the entire soundtrack. It seemed... off.... compared to the other games. But hey! I played AJ first, so everything sounded a little off.

I like the Cornered 2002 theme.
Not as good as the first one in terms of being a "Cornered" theme, but it fits 2-4's last trial very well.
Same for Cornered 2004, it has that epic feeling of 3-5.

JFA Cornered is >>> AA Cornered in my opinion.

But Cornered 2007 beats them all!

Actually, AA's Cornered theme is my least favorite. It sounds too GBA-ish.
JFA is my favorite, seeing it has the fastest tempo, and great melody. JFA probably has the best soundtrack.

Actually the Cornered theme is the piece of JfA's court music I'm the least disappointed about (can't stand the testimony music, prefer AA's Objection! to JfA's). I like all three of the original Cornered themes, though only the third one OWNS MY SOUL.
But I find the fact that the background chords are exactly the same as Hotline of Fate distracting, so I prefer the orchestrated version (which also has an incredible countermelody~<3).

I LOVED it. Like the first time I heard it, and even more every time after that.

xD

I really liked a lot of the new tracks introduced in JFA. I was disappointed with T&T's cornered theme after hearing a really amazing one two weeks in a row, but it wasn't terrible anyway, and a lot of the other new music made up for that.

Eh, I didn't really care for any of the courtroom music in JFA, let alone the Cornered music, which I thought was the worst when I first heard it (I actually played T&T first, then AA, and now I'm on 2-4 of JFA). Now, I think it's just...meh. Hate the JFA Objection theme though. It doesn't have the pizazz that the other two Objection themes do. Same with the beginning courtroom music.

To be honest with you, JFA is my least favorite soundtrack overall, but good things did come out of JFA's soundtrack, especially the Steel Samurai Ringtone, and the Turnabout Sisters Remix.

Bleh. I don't like it. Cornered 2001 is the best music evar. (Mostly the CADENZA remix.) Cornered 2002 is bleh. To me, Cornered 2001 sounds like it should be played when you are completely dominating, and Cornered 2002 should be played when... you are being dominated. It just sounds something more antagonistic.

But I will admit the Hotline of Fate / Cornered 2002 mix in Gyakuten Meets Orchestra JFA Court Suite rocks.

I dont really understand everyone fighting and wasting time trying to prove wich cornereded theme is better, when you can easily say that both in their moments made you feel epic fighting the powers of evil XD although in the end I prefer AA`s I wont argue with you cause I like JFA`s too but its not my favourite.

Spoiler:
Everyone felt epic in the last parts of "farewell my turnabout" (correct me if wrong) and you didnt even care about the music because It didn`t bother you in the moment cause you were too worried thinking WTF am I gonna do!? What the hell am I gonna do!?

And to finish I think all cornered themes are great but I would put it in this order:

1.-Ace attorney
2.-Trials & tribulations
3.-Justice for all

Thanks. Its a pleasure.
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

I realize you have a point on that one cause the one of Apollo was great but I still think the one of AA is the most epic one... if not why capcom used it for the last part of T&T??

They used Pursuit ~ Cornered at the end of T&T just to make the music in that part super-epic. Why they used Pursuit 2001 over Pursuit 2002 or another song or made an original song, I dunno.

(Probably to squee everyone who has played the original game. Because it worked.)

For me, at first I liked the AA one a lot better...but then I heard the orchestra version of the JFA one: Violin solo! :godot: It's so much fun to play. I started to hear the JFA version differently after that.

Of course, I still love the AA version. They each do well in their own games. The AA one has a more majestic, cinematic feel. It's more of a 'victory' piece. The JFA version creates a feeling of pressure; it's more of something that would play when a lot is on the line, which matches the tone of JFA. I couldn't imagine the AA version playing during the above mentioned moment, but it was perfect for when they brought it back in TnT, for epic greatness.
