= GeniusOh man, I know, right? I love this. It just works so well with his problems. Can't talk well normally due to both speech impediment and low self esteem? This way he can say pretty much whatever he wants, without screwing up his talking, with very few repercussions (bar max smacking him, but that's only because he's the only one not fooled [and only because he's a magician and lives illusions: he knows tricks when he sees them]) and he can still be thought of (or consider himself) a good person. It fits too, cause he's just so adorably avoidant. Apart from being screwed up, he's got a pretty sweet deal (freedom of speech without responsibility? fuck yeah). It only works, though, because he is actually seriously good at what he does. If he wasn't, people would just go wtf it's you, not the puppet, get out. But no, even in court when Trilo was like (totally paraphrasing here hurr) 'I was watching with 4 eyes you morans' nobody actually thought about it enough go to 'hey wait no you weren't, two of those eyes don't even work cause they're a puppets' so they basically just accepted him as a seperate sentient being (and really, that is pretty much the whole of ventriloquism).
in conclusion, yes I think way too hard about these things. I could even go on but I think I'll spare everyone from fangirl ramblings.
