While we've heard testimony that my client was arguing with Mr. Woodward, I believe it would be accurate to say he was arguing the puppet, Mr. Quist. Your Honor, the Defense believe Max Galatica struck the puppet, not the ventriloquist, with the bottle, breaking it on his wooden head. Since Mr. Quist is only a puppet, Assault charges do NOT apply here. My client should only have to pay for any repairs the puppet may need as a result of his actions. I will now turn the floor over to the prosecution.
