Shelly de Killer says repeatedly in his testimonies that "pinning a crime on someone else is detestable" and that he hates it more than most anything, he says that his clients must take responsibility for their actions in hiring him. Yet, why was he helping Engarde do exactly this? He was covering for Engarde by pinning the crime on Adrian, so wouldn't this alone break the contract since Engarde would be pinning the murder on an innocent?
Maybe I'm thinking about it too much... what do you think?

all he cares about is his trust with his clients. he says that if his client is caught, he'll try as hard as he can to help them because of his contract. it's against his code to just ditch them and let them get a guilty sentence.

the part where he values trust is true in his testomony.
however the fact that hates people who pin crimes on others was a lie to establish a motive to giving away his client and make everyone think adrian was the client
