So it's the first day of investigation, and I'm breaking Kudo's psyche-lock as to why he goes to Tres Bien. Finally, I break it, and discover his thing for waitresses. At this point, I thought, "another 'bitter old pervert' stereotype, just like in 75% of all the bad anime out there. Oh joy." Then Mia was used to lure Kudo into talking, further embittering me toward him. "Hey look, fanservice." Then, that same day in court...
They all took it very seriously. Phoenix tried to use his "thing for waitresses" as evidence against him, and Godot objected on the grounds that it was personal information and revealing it would be harmful to Kudo's reputation. It wasn't just laughed off. I was impressed at how Case 3 was able to take the "dirty old man" trope and turn it on its head by actually giving it some weight.

I still found it hilarious when Godot said "LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE FETISHES, TRITE", though. I don't know why, but it cracks me up.

Coffee-Addicts Gone Wild? Probably just girls with coffee-colored skin, like half black, half-white girls. And they have to love coffee. I could see him getting into a serious relationship with a random girl who works at Starbucks and has a passion for her job.

Actually, there's still some time to for them to grow and if you remember Mia had a decent pair in the first case and she was 22 then so maybe 3 years would make the difference.
