According to case 3-5 Morgan's brilliant plan to make Pearls the new Master failed i.a. Misty Fey channeled Dhalia before Pearls had got a chance to do so. This made Pearls believe that she lost her powers while explaining that there is also the possibility that Dhalia is already channeled by someone else (which DID happen, as we know).
Dhalia herself didn't realise who was channeling her - and it seemed like she did not realize either that someone else tried to do so.

BUT - in Case 2-4 on the last day of the trial Pearls who was channeling Mia at that time lost her for some moments and explained that Mia was called by someone else (Maya) and after a few moments Mia - now again channeled by Pearls - could describe where Maya had been kept.

I just realized that after playing GS2-4 again and I am wondering now a lot

Why was Maya able to channel Mia at the time she was already channeled by Pearls? And even it were because Mia was realizing that Maya was calling for her. Why DID she realize that while Dhalia obviously didn't? Can't imangine it is just because Mia'd had herself spiritual powers... which isn't even confirmed?

Umm.. Didn't Maya have more spiritual powers than Pearls? Maybe it's all about age and experience?

Remember the primary catalysts for Spiritual power:

Stress, Experience, and Talent.

While you can't deny that Pearl has more talent than Maya, Maya has more experience, and being with an assassin who is willing to kill her at any moment, it's safe to say she was under more stress.

Also, I'm pretty sure that due to the incredible power the Master has, Misty could probably completely cover up the fact that she was channeling Dahlia.

It seems that a powerful medium can call a spirit away (the whole thing in 2-4 shows that when a "powerful force" called Mia away from Pearl) hence why Misty had to call Dahlia. As Master she would have been most powerful and no one should have been able to call Dahlia away once she channelled her (her urgency was because Dahlia wouldn't have wasted any time trying to kill Maya as we see). I also assume Misty believed she could contain Dahlia somehow and failed or I assume she wouldn't have called her. Pearl is a prodigy, but Maya's older and has more experience (and considering how powerful Mia and Misty were supposed to be, I think we can assume Maya shares some of that).

Well that would explain why Dhalia didn't realize anything while being channeled by Misty. But later, she was channeled by Maya and Pearls still could not reach her. Pearls stated herself that she tried to channel Dhalia the morning after the incident as well and still could not reach her.

Otherwise, Maya was more under stress again, huh?

Channeling is not that easy at all, I guess...

it's because a spirit stays with the person of a stronger spiritual power. in 2-4 maya was stronger than pearl, so she "took" mia's spirit.

in the case of 3-5, misty had stronger spiritual power, so dahlia couldn't be called because pearl had inferior power
