I was just thinking, i don't think they ever explained why there was no poison in the bottle that Phoenix ate. You got any ideas?

Right. Sorry, i was really careless.

But, if that was the case, howcome the idea of there being poison in the bottle was dismissed as soon as Phoenix ate it and was ok? Should somebody have known enough about the poison to point out this fact?

Well Phoenix had the bottle from soon after the courthouse poisoning until he ate it and it seems unlikely he rinsed it out in between -either its lost potency as burninator said or there was hardly anything left when Dahlia handed it over or its pure plot device.

Similarly how did Phoenix either swallow a necklace whole, or as the game implies chew up and swallow glass without serious injury? :yuusaku:

What if it was made of cheap plastic, or something else fraile. Or Phoenix is on Ripley's Belive it or Not for being able to eat dangerous objects (nails, lightbulbs, etc.)

They SAID that the poison was lethal at two teaspoons. If there are only traces left, then theres no way that would kill him. :sick:

The poison likely lost potency, and Mia did realise and present that possibility to the court, but Payne disregarded it as there was not enough evidence. Instead, he used Phoenix's survival to support his own argument that there must not be poison in the bottle. (Which may be true, if Dollie emptied it out, seeing that it was not the intended murder weapon.)
