Reason: Well he was basically raised there along with Franny. It said in his profile that he was studying Foreign Judicial systems and since the area of Europe has some of the biggest English speaking countries besides America he would most likely go there than China or Japan. Not to mention he probably has an easy way to stay there as his connections with the Von Karma family.

Is there proof? I'm not trying to shoot down your answer; I just want to know if there's real proof that he went there. Germany makes sense, but that doesn't mean that's where he went.

He said he was studying Foreign Judicial Systems overseas. So we don't exactly know /where he went/. But we can assume due to his European ties he probably went around Europe and since he has good ties with Germany he most likely went to Germany ;D
@General: It doesn't prove anything but it's the best assumed guess, considering what we know about Edgeworth and the Von Karma family.

By the way, have you ever noticed that little contradiction:
Luke says that Godot was the best prosecutor and that Edgeworth admitted that.
When Edgeworth comes back and gets to know that Godot will be the prosecutor he says, that he had never heard from him!

In the ENG version the von Karmas are from Germany, but in the Japanese version I think they're from America?
I think it may be just fanon interpretation that Edgeworth goes to Europe in particular(it sounds 'cultured', befitting his image I guess) but correct me if I'm wrong!
(Did the JPN version specify Ema went to Europe, and that the Gavins were from Germany????)
