As far as I know, temple is pronounced as "in" in Japanese.
Might as well expound a bit more on this issue, although I risk being misleading. Hazakura seems to mean "the leaves of Sakura trees" (葉桜), where the "ha" (葉) means leaf and zakura is actually Sakura, and so Hazakurain is 葉桜院. Kura in Kurain(倉院) means 'storehouse', and I suspect it's related to the Shousoin treasure house that kept a bunch of treasures in Japan - it would have been nice if the seven-branched sword was among its treasures, but no, no luck there.
As you can see, Japanese is a great language to play puns with...

Better question is why the translators chose to chop off the -in from Hakazurain, but not Kurain. It's very inconsistent!
