Why is Tigre Red? (Spoilers: 3-3)

Tigre's constantly changing skin-color was frustrating to me whilst replaying the case.

In 3-3, we meet Tigre with red skin. He was apparently red when he met Maggey, since he told her he had "a really bad sunburn", but then he was shown

He also was shown to have regular colored skin in the opening,

and he must have had regular skin to pull off

But, Phoenix meets him with red skin a month later.

So why is his skin red, and why does it keep changing???

yes in "the tigre as attorney" topic this had also been notable me. your right, by the intro you see tigre normal.
but in "the tigre as attorney" topic was also given the aswer. they do say that the tigre use paintingskin. but I will read say it itself.

In the opening I think they used a regular Phoenix sprite to make you think it was Phoenix and to prevent it from being immediately obvious that it's an impersonator.
