But that would mean Oldbag'd have a license to say "nigga", and that means she'd most likely abuse it like hell. :/

"Trixie" sounds a little too giddy and happy for Creepy Emo Head-bandage Girl, don't you think? Damn the fact that "Wednesday Adams" is copyrighted. It would've made for a bloody brilliant English Urami name. :|

"Javado Beckett" still sounds cool, since anything with "Folgers" might be leaning a bit into copyright infringement, though it does sound a little better than DRAC SYLVESTER, which never fails to remind me of this person:

Better than DRAC SYLVESTER or VLAD MASTERS anyway. :|

Though the names with "Beckett" do sound a hell of a lot better. So far, there's "Javado Beckett", "Samuel Beckett", "Roger Beckett", "InsertWhateverNameHere Beckett", et cetera. What's next?

Cutler Beckett?

Well the last name Beckett is a reference to the writer of Waiting for Godot, Samuel Beckett, so it seems funny to include his surname in Kaminogi's name. However, calling him Samuel Beckett is completely ripping off his name, so Capcom would have to ask his permission.

I don't know who thought of Javado, but it does sound good. To me, it sounds like a French Jazz player.

Actually, Javado is this guy:

Calling him "Samuel Beckett" outright's ripping off, true, but I doubt his name's copyrighted. Either way it makes me wonder what would happen if he were named Cutler Beckett. The chances of that happening are 293794749585830840248025739853020482039203948935798302 sine of 46 degrees multipled by the tangent of 36 degrees multiplied by the square of pi, to one, but it'd still be interesting to see a PC: AWE reference.

:javado: YOU'RE MAD!

:youngmia: Well that's a good thing, then, because if I weren't, this would probably never work!

Well, we have a Joe in the series already. But well, Joseph, for example, wouldn't sound bad, just hope we don't nickname him Joe or else it could cause some mix-ups. Giuseppe? 0_o Too Italian.

I'm still for Javado, though.

Capcom... gimme the game already :edgeworth:

Gods, that just reminded me of Guiseppi Mezzoalto from The Sims 2 DS.

If that were Souryuu's English name, I'd have bad mental images of him in a black overcoat and beanie, trying to sell you a rolex and a Super Drencher Water Cannon to fight off the alien invasion on Strangetown led by Emperor Xizzle.

"Javado" is a Spanish name, and in Spanish, anything that starts with a "J" is pronounced as a really hard "H" sound instead, sort of like coughing or pseudo-German. So, if it were the proper pronunciation, it would be:

Hugha-Va-Do

I think Javado steams from the fact that 'Java' is a type of coffee, made on the island of Java. So Javado actually means 'does coffee'.... which is pretty nailing, am I right?

...besides, the 'Java' programming language uses a frickin' coffee cup as it's logo. Go figure!

Yeah, it's the "ch"-sound in German. I always laugh when an English speaking person tries to do that...

+caugh+

Anyway, it kind of sounds like the sound when you're snoring. Or very hoarse.

I've only thought of first names, since thinking of first names and surnames that form another word is really hard for me.
:igarashi: Ronald or Malcolm sounds good to me.
:yuusaku: I'm thinking Courtney.
:uramidn: She seems like a witch to me, so I say Sabrina. It also sounds like a gothic name.
:chef: Bryan. I think his last name should be a sexual innuendo.
:onamida: I'd say Moe Ping, but Moe's already taken.
:ayame: Rose, definitely. Or maybe Daisy.
