That'd be hideously wrong... I think I know why there aren't very many serious Powers/whoevers now.
As for Minuki being the secret love child of Phoenix and Iris... Um.. Well aside from what Croik mentioned... Isn't being a nun one of those "not sleeping around" kind of jobs? I mean, last time I checked into it at least..
Not to mention, I don't understand why she'd be adopted at age 5 or 6 or whatever if she belonged to his long time lover/wife/midnight sexxor friend. And why she was running around with a troop of magicians.
So, unless our lovers are reunited in GS5, I'd say their pretty much over and the nail is in the coffin. :(

The things is that this appears to Catholic nuns. I mean the whole concept of not having sex. I mean I am not sure if Shrine Maidens can have sex, but I think I have seen some in anime that have relationships and no, I do not mean hentai.

But I think the writers were kind enough to give us a massive 8-year gap between GS3 and 4 that fans could work with to create alternate histories and theories with, unless they decided to dredge up more of the past in GS5/6, which would be a no-no, seeing how they handled it in 4. Eh...

Remember, the real Iris is locked up from the time of the earthquake until Dahlia gets exorcised from Maya, so we can't take anything Dahlia as Iris says about Iris at face value as far as helping to plot the incidents in 3-4 go. Once you get rid of that, she really did very little wrong.
Interesting enough, because of that swap, Phoenix actually never interrogates Iris, so the courtroom scene doesn't preclude anything getting rekindled. And Phoenix seemingly has a sixth sense about the real Iris.

According to what I know about Shinto shrine maidens, they are expected to remain virgins until they leave the shrine, although exceptions are made for those of exceptional character (which in anime, isn't every girl of exceptional character?). However, we know that there is a lot of Buddhist influence in the Kurain tradition (Mia's whole speech about Ami Fey's name coming from Amida in GS2-2) and I must confess I don't know anything about the role of women in Buddhist temples.

Well, if the Resident Evil series is anything to go by, we don't have to worry about the characters going anywhere. I think GS5 will have a lot of emphasis on past characters, mostly the Feys. And
will go another game without any significant character development. :D

And curse the damn writers for playing with my heart like this, they introduce a very likeable character, whose blushing animation is the cutest thing I've ever seen, and they use her as a disposable plot device. Not fair, not fucking fair.
I don't think I've been this attached to a character since Planescape: Torment and Hotel Dusk.
I don't even care if she never gets back with Phoenix, I just want to see more of her. How long could she possibly be in jail for being an accomplice?
There's always AA 5... but honestly, I bet Phoenix went to visit her.
