I cried when I saw the picture that Misty was keeping with her all that time.

I was flipping Mr. :godot: off the entire time I was playing near the end.

I'm sorry, but I can't bring myself to even remotely like him =/

True, I can understand why people feel both ways.
Spoiler:
After all what he did is still a crime. One that could've easily been avoided, mind you. I guess at some point, he hated Phoenix more that he missed Mia.

For me I was very sad with what happened.
Spoiler:
Despite all he did, everything else that happened beyond his control was just unfair. If only he hadn't drank that poison. To this moment and probably beyond, I find myself in a melancholy mood whenever I hear Reminiscence~The Bitter taste of Truth.

And that picture Misty kept with her was touching as well.

Which is why it's a Reminiscence theme :P But yes, it does do that.

That, and "The Fire Carves Scars". Both are pretty depressing themes.

I don't recall ever crying at the end of a game. The only game ending that ever touched me was Metal Gear Solid 3. And Emma's death on MGS2.

No but I did get misty-eyed in the credits knowing how horribly twisted Phoenix's character will be next time I see him.

I cried a few times during the ending, but while Phoenix and Mia teaming up to attack Godot and forcing him to realize what kind of person he had become was made of awesome, it wasn't one of the most emotionally moving parts for me.

The first time I cried was during Iris' confession. It's just masterfully done, the timing, the 'pling' sound effect when she says: "After all... you hardly knew each other." The truth already hit me at that moment. And even though I really think her 'Feenie' nickname sounds cheesy as hell, I was still totally amazed how in the end, Dahlia's machinations weren't even enough to damage their trust in each other. Too bad that she was already gone, or Mia could have thrown that in her face as well.

Also, the sudden reversal of the meaning of Dahlia's Theme just got to me. Before that point, I had never really listened to that theme at all, because I just thought it a mockery of Dahlia's saccharine smile. But at that moment, when that theme started playing, and suddenly it wasn't Dahlia's theme any more, but Iris' theme... it just got to me. Now it's one of my favorite themes. (That's poetic justice right there - in the end, Dahlia doesn't even get her own theme music.)

The second time was Maya's revelation that Mia wrote her a note basically saying 'Don't worry, Nick will save everyone in the end.' It shows what kind of insane trust she has in him, and as it turns out, it's entirely justified. I was always a sucker for those "Impossible odds? So what!" moments, and this just fit the bill.

The final time was when the photo from Elise's charm was revealed. I didn't think that 'repaired better than ever before' comparison from case 3-2 could be topped - I already found that part quite moving - but this adds a whole new layer of meaning to that. I can just imagine Pearl's reaction as she realizes it wasn't even her who broke that urn for the first time. I bet she cried too. (eh, why don't we have a smiley of Pearls bawling? I wanted to put that here... *sniff*)

Well, those were the most moving moments of the last part of the trial for me. Too bad Mia getting her sweet revenge on Dahlia isn't in there. I'm going to have to replay the whole case just to see that again. Well, can't have everything, I guess. ^_^

I cried several times during the game: 3-3 (When breaking Viola's psyche-locks), 3-4 (Terry...), 3-5 (Maya's testimony protecting Godot, Godot's final speech, & the credits).

I think I got more misty-eyed with Terry than 3-5, although I do agree with everything you mentioned. Those were awesome moments for sure ^^. You can't get this quality of story-telling in just any game anymore.

I thought Terry was sad and I was quite distraught and a little heartbroken when he just went up and killed himself, but I was too busy feeling resentful all through the trial (because I knew from the prior hints that this case wouldn't end well for Mia) that I couldn't really get all worked up over poor Terry Fawles.

But I knew that Dahlia would play a role in the last trial, and I was totally glad to see that she got a fitting punishment in the end.

I never literally cried, but I did have to fight back tears a few times in the series:

Spoiler: 1-2
Presenting the phone early on to Maya is the first truly touching part of the series, and a pivotal moment for me--it shows just how empathetic the game can be.

Spoiler: 2-2
Seeing Maya and Mia finally meet up again at the end of 2-2 is another really touching scene for me.

Spoiler: 3-5 major spoilers
A few times in this one:

-Godot's final confession got to me.
-Iris's last statements to Phoenix, particularly the "...Feenie."
-Pretty much the entire finale, knowing I wouldn't see this cast again (in this form, at least).
-Seeing the picture of Mia/Maya with the urn.

Very moving series, all things considered. T&T is probably the most touching game I've played that isn't called Mother 3 or Lufia 2.

I was so close to sobbing. If I hadn't been playing muted, the music would've pushed me over the edge. I was sooooo sad for Godot and Mia... Mostly Godot. I wanted to just give him a hug.

I probably would have cried if I hadn't spoiled myself.

The Miego fic here made me cry one tear, though.

I teared up a little near the end. Sure, I was never a big fan of Godot at all, but what had happened to both him and Mia. It's so gut wrenching. Well, it could have been that it was the end of the saga, but I like to think it was because of what happened. *cough cough*
I cried like a baby at the end of the first game, though.

Oh my yes I cried. I was actually surprised I cried. These games have always worked up lots of emotions in me, but usually happy, angry or triumphant ones. T&T and 3-5 took me COMPLETELY by surprise.

Spoiler: 3-5 HUGE SPOILERS HOT HOT HOT
It was aaaaaall :godot: . I loved his character and I literally screamed the moment they began to hint that it was him. I felt my heart sink and a huge knot tie up in my stomach. "NOOOO! NO, IT CAN'T BE!" The way they jerked around with you, to force to you convict him even when it seemed so wrong, that was brilliantly done.

I don't think it would have been half as emotional if he hadn't been urging you to do it too by dropping hints, insisting the trial go on, etc. Even he realized how twisted he'd become. OH DIEGO!! :sob:

Iris's confession afterwards almost felt like a happy relief after all that crying. I'm glad the end of the game is uplifting or I'd have been glum all day. Now I go back to pretending Phoenix's fate in GS4 is all a dream, Lalalaaa~

I thought that the part with Nick and Mia both pointing at Godot was awesome and I did feel a tinge of sympathy towards the man when he confessed to everything in the end. However, I felt it turned a tad anti-climatic when you see the scene of him and Nick drinking coffee.

Maybe it's just me, but I would have preferred the ending to a long and painful confession not to involve coffee. It just takes the seriousness of the situation out of it for me thanks to Godot constantly referring to coffee in previous arguments and also the fact he did this :coffee: to Nick on two occasions.

Sorry, I just can't look at Godot drinking coffee without being suspicious of him (and expecting the coffee to end up all over Wright in the next few second) :karma:

That said, I loved the ending to T&T and I felt sad for Nick knowing what happens to him in AJ :yuusaku:

Really? I actually liked that touch. It was a sigh of relief after all of the dramatics-- I appreciated seeing that Diego had finally forgiven himself and felt free just in time for the best cup of coffee ever. It was nice to see him make a happy exit.

Besides, did you expect him to NOT talk about coffee in his finale? :godot:

It was a big moment, but the one that really got me was my personal favorite quote from the game: "I hope one day you can forgive me... Feenie." Of course, the judge really killed that moment, and Godot sharing his coffee with Phoenix didn't help. Still, that quote will always stick in my mind. Thank goodness there was no trouble with the translation...

Same here. Although I was still 'awesomed-up" by the fact that Phoenix and Mia pointed together in justice and then he joined Godot in drinking coffee. Great concepts there. :Godot-object:

Maybe I would have cried loads if that hadn't have put my spirits up. (Ah, that was a bad pun)

LoL. No, I suppose I didn't expect that... since :godot: is a coffee fiend. I, myself, love coffee too but that's besides the point. I guess the :coffee: incidents had a lasting impression on me (it was funny, especially Nick's comment about how hot the coffee was), and I have a sick sense of humor at times... I think I might have secretly wanted :coffee: to happen at the end again and was a little disappointed it never did XD

I still love the ending the way it is though. I just wish we knew what exactly happened to :godot: after the game ended.

Yes, that part was awesome...

Spoiler:
I was just waiting for him to say the guy's name properly! I'm surprised no one corrected him with the number of times he called Phoenix 'Mr. Trite' instead of 'Mr. Wright'. In a real court, someone would have said something straight away... then again, in a real court the judge isn't clueless and the prosecutor would probably get penalized (at the very least) for throwing coffee at the defense team...

Haunted in the "One of the greatest Judges of All-Time once held court and fought for the Greater Good" way.

Other Haunted in a good way Courtrooms include:

Frank M. Johnson Jr.'s Federal Courtroom in Montgomery, Alabama.

James Edwin Horton's Courtroom in Jackson County, Alabama.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The old Supreme Court Courtroom.
