A question that has been plaguing my mind for a while is the question "Will Trials and Tribulations be released in Europe, and when?". I'm sure several other European citizens here have been wondering this, and I think I have an answer!

It all started when I went into town. I brought my MP3 player with me, but its batteries ran out when I got to the bus stop, so I decided to buy a gaming magazine to pass the time. It was a copy of nRevolution. It came with a small booklet for DS games, and when I read it, I noticed a section called DS Dateline, which seems to be a list of upcoming games.

When I scrolled down to September, I noticed Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations scheduled for a release on the 30th! However, I haven't noticed this date mentioned on any websites, and I heard that gaming magazines can be inaccurate sometimes, but hopefully this will bring hope to the European citizens who were worried they wouldn't get it for a while.

Until I can figure out how to use my scanner, to find proof, find a copy of the magazine:

It should come in a plastic cover, which includes a two booklets and a Magic: The Gathering booster pack. One booklet is about Pokemon, and the other is a booklet of DS games titled "Pocket Revolution for Nintendo DS". Turn to page 5 and look to the right. I will try and get the scanner to work tomorrow.

I don't think a dateline like this has any value. The only proof we must look for is an official announcement.

And as of now, neither Nintendo nor Capcom said anything about T&T being released here. It WILL eventually come here, but probably at the end of the year or, at the worst, next year.

The thing is that in the US, Capcom takes care of everything Ace Attorney-related, while in Europe, they just let Nintendo handle the thing.
I heard some time ago that without Nintendo support, AA1 wouldn't have been translated at all ! And in the end, Capcom only agreed translating it in french.
As of JFA, it seems that Capcom had even less to do with its european release, seeing how it doesn't even appear on Capcom Europe' website, while being listed as a "Touch Generation" game on Nintendo's.
Having to deal with another party creates a delay, I suppose. Especially when the 4 other translations are so heavily-based on the english one. There's a need for the english script to be done in order to start working on the others...

My point is simple : do not expect the game here at the same time as in the US.

Pretty many Europeans (including me) already imported this (JAP, US). They should've released it way before.
