I'm British, so I don't really get all the Canadaian stereotypes used with the Judge (I'm assuming they ARE Canadian stereotypes). Any one feel like explaining them to me? If you do, I'll hug you (over the internet).

Well, I'm Canadian so I suppose I shall share my overwhemling knowledge of Canadian stereotypes. *puts arm around your shoulder* Well, it all started when...

...I don't know. xD Anyway. Typically, most Americans and such think that Canadian's say 'eh?' more than anyone else, resulting in many jokes towards Canadians like "You're Canadian, eh?". As well, we apparently say 'aboot' instead of 'about'. From my knowledge those are the only Canadian stereotypes the Canadian Judge has in the game (I could be wrong...), so yeah. ^w^

I think he's calls someone a hoser once too. That being an insult, though it's usually used really jokingly.

1. He says , "Brootal" (Just as it's written) in 3-4, leading Mia to think he's Canadian.
2. He calls Phoenix a hoser in 3-2
3. I can't remember what a hoser is.

He's got an exaggerated Canadian accent ('broodal' and 'aboot'), he uses the word 'hoser'...

The most clever one is the references to his glorious playoff beard. It's traditional among the more superstitious hockey fans not to shave while their team is in the playoffs - a good luck thing. And...well, what's more Canadian than hockey? (Do American fans do the playoff beard thing?)

And from the looks of things, his team's always in the playoffs:

Within Canada, his mannerisms are considered stereotypical of the East Coast, especially Newfoundland.
I like the part where he calls someone (Dahlia?) "better than a double-double and a large box of donut holes". XD And I'm sure they only made him say "donut holes" because most Americans don't know what Timbits are. :3

This one I don't get. What other way is there to pronounce "brutal"? long u = oo

A "Double-Double" is a term for a coffee with two creams and two sugars. Usually from the popular coffee shop "Tim Horton's". In Canada.

I completely forgot the double double reference. (Well...not totally...I did have a rather vague memory of him using another Canadian bit of slang, but I'd forgotten what it was...) :bro:

I love me some Tim Hortons. The Canadian Judge probably does, too. XD

*sighs* Some of Canadians great treasures will never be shared with the world... it's a shame. xD

He says 'aboot' instead of about. Maybe something to do with the accent?

Also, he refers to Dahlia as "my little maple leaf." As we all know, Canada is the Maple Leaf State... er, I mean, it has a maple leaf on its flag. Yeah, that's what I meant to say.

Interesting... So, to sum up:
1)He has a Candian accent(sort of)
2)He refers to 'double-doubles', 'hosers' and other Canadian slang
3)He has a magnificent hockey beard.

Great! I now understand Canadian stereotypes a lot better. If any British stereotypes ever come up (doubtful, but I have spotted one so far - although that could be my imagination) I promise to explain them to you guys.

canadians tend to pronounce it longer, as "broodal"
americans tend to pronounce it shorter, more like "bruhtal"

How about the bellboy? (Seeing as he refers to Edgeworth as a "barrister" and is extremely embarrassed about April May giving him a kiss, I'd definitely say he was British).

Anyway, I'd like to see more of the Canadian judge in future, because he's so hilariously funny - not that the regular judge isn't, but he can't compare to the Canadian judge in term of hilarity.

Huh, I didn't think of the bellboy. He could be British, although I thought he was more embarrassed about her ... assets, shall we say?

The one I picked up on was the judge not knowing what UK stood for or what the Union Jack was. Something to do with Americans having no idea about anything British? But like I said, it's probably my imagination.

So I was kind of right...

Anyway, it doesn't matter as nothing in Phoenix Wright is really related to anything British.

Back to Canadian stereotypes!

Ah guess. There are tons of different regional accents though, in both Canada and America, so maybe I just never heard it the "other" way. :godot:
