When Phoenix and Maya are at Tender Lender, talking to Violia, Maya makes a remark about Phoenix owing her 500 dollars from a card game. But in Apollo Justice, Phoenix says that he's never lost a card game, ever. How can this be?

Note: I know that T&T was released before AJ, but Capcom was working on the translation while working on the Japanese version of AJ, so I find it hard that they'd make that mistake.

Dubbing oversight?

Happened once in an anime. A character said "I want to go home to my family and baby brother." later in the show, when said character does go home, there is no baby brother.

I'm sure that :hobohodo: was refering to his 7 year winning streak after being disbarred.

And there is also the possibility that Maya is joking around in 3-3... :moe-laugh:

There are card games in which you bet on which aren't poker. Maybe they played bridge or something. Blackjack, maybe.
Whoever said nothing was impossible obviously never tried to close a revolving door.

Two things:

1: Maya wasn't kidding. Phoenix asked her "Were we playing for REAL money?".

2: They said that Phoenix never lost since he worked for the Borscht Bowl Club, ergo the 7 years.
