Well, just a thought since:

Probably not. It would be a bit of a shame if they did, though, since it's a pretty nice design. That, and I don't think the Phoenix has any natural enemies, being a mythical creature and all.

The only thing I can really see them changing is his name. Aside from that, he's mostly fine the way he is now.

While the original intent of the pun might be lost, I don't think they really need to change anything! A tiger biting down on a dragon is pretty intimidating on its own, even without the linguistic pun.

As long as Zeni's name has something to do with tigers (and it should, since I assume he'll still be roaring at people to get his way) the shirt can stay. I don't think Phoenix ever makes a comment about the shirt itself...

Dragons are mythical too.

Yea, but cool water doesn't reflect on who Zeni is... I might be able to ashes although I really don't see it as opposite to a phoenix seeing as phoenixes rise from them and not avoid them.

I always kinda thought of something like Griffen just because it's another mythical creature that could actually pass for a real name.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it needs to be changed, but if it were to play into something important as far as script goes I would think they would have to. But seeing as Croik said that it really doesn't into Phoenix dialogue it doesn't matter much on what's on his shirt then (as in: it can stay without doing harm to localization).

The thought really came from seeing that they changed young Phoenix's shirt I guess...

Why not just have the Tiger munching on the Phoenix? You keep Zenny's element, and you swap Ryuichi's Dragon motif with Wright's Phoenix motif.

Yah, I don't think they'll change it, as I don't recall haeing about any dialouge mentions to it(and you'd think you would somewhere on teh forums, the bios, the case description). Its more a visual pun that doesn't really lose anything in another region; it still portrays a sense of "badassness(Foxboy would LOVE this guy). If there IS a dialouge mention/pun/joke on the shirt, they can always write around it as I doubt they'd go so far to edit his shirt to something else.
