Well, GS3 is pretty much confirmed to have Dual Language, according to the GS3 DS official website.

I sort of remember hearing that there would be a Japanese one that would be coming out in August, but that may have just been a rumor. Nick

Well, if the first one and second one did not come with a "Language" option, then most likely the third one isn't going to have one, as well.

In the interview with Sven, he said they had never considered releasing an American PW with Japanese language, because Capcom assumed no one would care. So if you really want to see it, you can always bring it up on their forum to let them know otherwise.

Well, yea. That's what I figured too, that Capcom would never consider a language pack (since no one would care anyway). Detective Gumshoe

But I wonder what would happen to the Japanese fans. I mean, has Capcom of Japan ever considered a DS remake of the 3rd game? Knowing that they're now done with GS4, and they just skipped a DS remake of GS3. I wonder if they really want to move on to other titles, or series, or try to remake GS3 for DS.

Good question. I assume it will be released in Japan at the same time as in America, really.

How would Japan relese it the same time America releases it? If US gets a copy with no language option, then Capcom of Japan would need time to translate everything (text, graphics, etc.) back to Japanese for a DS release. Detective Gumshoe

But I guess it wouldn't take them that much longer to revert everything back to Japanese after Capcom of USA releases it. Eh?

Not really.

Just thinking/wondering how long it would take them to make a DS remake over in Japan, if they already have the full Japanese text. I assume they still have to revert the images back to Japanese, to fit the DS screen size, and so forth. Detective Gumshoe

Ah. If I get your drift, I think they resize the backgrounds, then replace the Japanese text with English. Looking at the Locations and Screenshots section, if I'm right in thinking that they leave the photos the same size, they have to resize 84 backgrounds, and edit text in three. Or so.

As for how long that would take, I couldn't guess.

I don't think Japan has to do any resizing to their sprites. If Capcom of USA fixes all the backgrounds & sprites to work on the DS, then Japan would only have to fix the US sprites back into the Japanese sprites, ala copy/paste method. While still maintaining the sprites DS sizes without any distortion. Yanni Yogi

I don't see why they would include a language option. There isn't much audio dialogue, and they haven't done it for previous releases that I know of.

I'm one of those people avidly avoiding spoilers for the third game even, though, so I'm not even sure if this version, made for a more advanced system, will be much different stylistically from the first two.

There's nothing different, really.
GS2DS was GS2 on DS. With improved graphics and musics of course.

However, I doubt there will be a dual language option on the US version.
I believe it will come out in Japan first, as there will be a last minute announcement like there was with JFA.
And I'm hoping that if Japan gets it first it will have Japanese/English.

However, I see no benefit for America having Japanese/English seeing as how the Japanese would most likely get it first.

The only logical other language I can think of is Spanish. :s

Are you being sarcastic? They're going to do that. They've always done that with the ports. Honestly, that's common knowledge.

Well at this time there is no Japanese version and there has yet to be an english PW game with the option to play it in Japanese so I doubt this one will include it.
