At the beginning of 3-5, Pearl is reading with Elise. She asks about the words

, prompting Phoenix to wonder what kind of book they were reading.

I thought this scene was just another non-sequitur joke, wondering myself why Phoenix would be so alarmed. Then I got to the part with the

and I realized what I did wrong.

I thought Phoenix was questioning a book that had the words

No...I really don't believe it was. Not at all - if anything, you're meant to get the impression she was reading that note and nobody in the room knew (or revealed they knew) what it was.

I doubt a coincidence like that was ever intended, not when the note was clearly in pearl's possession at the time.

it has to be from the letter. O_O what, did Pearly just happen to find a children's book that contained the exact words that she needed to know to be able to read the letter? :\

not to mention that it'd be highly unlikely for any children's book to actually contain those words--hence why Phoenix questioned it.

Yea I think it's from the letter ... I mean, Phoenix even says "she taught you how to read them but didn't teach you what they meant" or something, which is why Pearl
