For those of you who bought the Japanese release of GS2, were the graphics and sound effects (Objection!, etc) translated as well? I've just preordered it from PlayAsia because I'm impatient and anxious to play GS3, but I'm wondering whether I'll have difficulty with things like...

Spoiler: AA1 Case 5, AA2 Case 1
The note that when flipped upside down reveals the SL-9 case and date, and Maggey's name being spelled wrong in the sand.

I'm sure that things like this were much different in the original game, so I just want to make sure that I won't be thrown a nasty Japanese curveball when I'm playing it.

Sorry if this is a played-out question, I've avoided clicking on threads here to avoid spoilers.

From what I understand everything, even graphics and voices, are translated.

Everything about the English version included in the Japanese DS cart is exactly the same as the English version that gets released stateside: the script, the graphics, the voices, everything.

the voices

Yeah, only they're in english, right? They don't say Igiari in the English version.

It's only Japanese for as long as you leave the Translation button unpressed at the title screen. :phoenix:

...Igiari...Objection...Igiari...Objection...Igiari...

:objection:

Oh, yeah. *Ahem* Sorry, having too much fun there. :godot:

I'd be okay with that. Maybe that means they won't screw up Mia's voice. :javado:

Thanks for the information, everyone. Sounds like getting the Japanese version was a good choice.

The English voices in the Japanese cart are exactly the same as the English voices in the English cart. The Japanese site even advertises it as "Buy GS3, get T&T with it!" There are not two different sets of English objections.

Ahh, it feels like only yesterday that I responded to 20 emails like this about JFA~~~

There's small grammar problems in the english option of the japanese GS:YG while PW:AA one has them fixed.

I think one of them was at the end of the game...

Spoiler:
Japanese Version with english option (GS:YG): Phoenix - "Damon Gant, the killer you!"
English Version (PW:AA): Phoenix - "Damon Gant, the killer was you!"

Of course the "miracle never happen" was exactly the same in both GS2 and JFA.

No one ever said that such a typo would appear in GS3 OR T&T.

You mean the Japenese T&T will have the exact same English translation as the American one? Then why is the American one being released, like, two months later!? Are they gonna spend that long fixing typos!??
