Just finished case 4, before tackling the doozie ridden tense filled fun that will be the last case. It occured to me though... why in case 1, given it's obviously set a year later, why Mia didn't really seem to recognise Dahlia OR the pendant in question, especially when it contained poison (as said by Terry). Was this done for dramatic license? Are we expected to believe Mia would forget the witness and especially the poison circumstances?

I understand why they were done in this order... to build up the suspense and for us to figure out how Diego was murdered and why, but logically it doesn't hold a lot of water for me. Unless I suspend belief a little ;)

Btw when was Diego poisoned by Dahlia... I recall the game saying 8 (?) months before Phoenix's case, which would make it what, 4 months after the Terry case? What was he wanting to talk to her about..? Is this revealed in case 5? A simple yes/no needed here, I'll find out for myself eventually ;)

You'll see when you replay that she really does recognize Dahlia, but isn't obvious about it so she doesn't give away her hand, so to speak. It's actually quite well-written!

Mia does recognize Dahlia in the first case, you can tell by some of the things she says. Dahlia also says that they've met before in the past.

As for what they were talking about when she poisoned him, they never specify, but it's pretty obvious that Mia and Diego were investigating her regarding the Terry Fawles case, so they must have been meeting to talk about that.

If Mia was a defense laywer then I can't see why she'd investigate Dahlia if the intent was to prosecute. Now Diego on the other hand, yes I can obviously see that given who we know he turns into...

Maybe I'll replay case 1 and read what Mia has to say. I did remember Dahlia mentioning they had met before in the past, but there was no juxtapositioning on other front to suggest... animosity or resentment. I suppose as you say, Mia was a lot more restrained than I'd give her credit for ;)
