Finished the game... wow... I knew a bit about it before playing but not the whole truth. I think I've managed to get the entire timeline of events in my head here, though I did manage to work out 99% of it before the end. Even the significance of Larry's picture (I'd already twigged about the wires being upside down).

So one question remains... erm well thinking about it now, make that two...

1) Why did Godot recruit Iris? I assume just because she was at the Temple, though did he know she was actually Dahlia's sister or not?

And the question I was originally going to ask...

2) How did Maya know of the plans to have Pearl channel Dahlia and kill her? After all, she never "saw" Pearl until she herself had already channelled Dahlia, and so no chance to read the instructions Pearl had been given (and then burnt the following morning). And Maya channelled Dahlia, from what I gather, because Mia had instructed to her in order to protect herself; because either Maya or Mia knew that Pearl was due to attempt channelling Dahlia herself to carry out the plan. By the process of deduction, Maya must have known someone was channelling Dahlia when she was first attacked? But before or after the murder attempt? This bit of info never came out, as Maya insisted she never saw who originally attacked her. And then passed out at that moment.

Wait.. I'm trying to recall the whole story....
If I'm not mistaken, Dahlia was going to kill Maya, but then they lost consciousness. And then Maya woke up & thought maybe Dahlia would try to kill her again, so she called Mia. Soooo Mia told her how to protect herself from Dahlia, and that is to channel her.

Btw, Maya knew about the plans? You sure? O_O Ah.. Sorry, I really don't remember. XD

I don't think Maya knew. She's not really one much for putting herself specifically in harm's way... At least, not the "stop judging things based on narrow-minded cultural assumptions, Nick"-Maya I know and love!

I could have sworn Mia said she knew Pearl was due to try channeling Dahlia and hence suggested Maya should do it to order to prevent this from happening. Maybe I'll have to read back through a transcript...

I'm guessing when Misty was killed she told the plan to Mia, who when channeled by Maya told her what to do.

Right, once the murder happened right in front of her eyes, I imagine Godot actually told her what's up. What I meant was--I don't think Maya knew anything about it beforehand, otherwise she's pretty freakin' silly to go through with it!

Except according to Maya's testimony, she fainted right after all of it went down. I had thought either a de-Dahlia'd Misty or Godot might have told her right after, but the fainting seems to put a spanner in that theory.

If I recall though, Godot was nowhere to be seen after he got rid of the body (and carried Maya to the training hall).. and Misty was already dead by the time the event actually happened and she regained consciousness.

Plus, doesn't Maya need to know what Dahlia looks like before she could channel her? I mentioned this in another thread that even Pearl who was arguably just as good a medium as Maya (or even better? Can't remember atm) needed a photo provided by Morgan Fey in order to channel her. Maya didn't even know Dahlia existed, let alone what she looked like.
