Playing through 3-5, I was excited about the triumphant return of the song Investigation ~ Cornered.
I was really expecting the new remixed version on the GS3 soundtrack, but I was suprised to hear something different.

At first i thought it was the original version, but then i noticed that the drums were slightly louder, and the tempo was much faster.

Was it a completely different version, or was I just hearing wrong? :think:

Actually, I'd say the tempo is a bit slower than AA1's Cornered. Other than that, it is a bit different. It has more "clutter" for lack of a better word. All in all I thought it was still a nice remix, if not a major one. They're still both different from the GS3 remix though, which I also liked, but that one was definately slower in tempo.

Despite that the case wasnt all that awesome and the killer was playing Hansel, I thnk that the remix rocked. The new drums are much more epic.

after looking it up, it turned out that they remixed Investigation ~ Cornered. and Investigation ~ Cornered(variation) especially for the ds release instead of using the gba remix

I was just glad to hear that theme come back one last time, to me it's always been the "defining" piece of music for the Phoenix Wright series. If that makes any sense.

I was thrilled when it returned. More than any other piece, it truly lent an "epic" feel to the last part of the trial, even despite my feeling bad about nailing that case's particular killer...

Oh, heck yeah! I didn't want to do it... but man, that was so freaking awesome and felt like the most epic of final battles and that moment in itself is reason enough to replay the case! Seriously amazing...
